DR VIXMOM so glad that your Tailgater worked out.  I would definitely recommend it again - but certainly YOUR model is better than mine for volume and convenience.....although with mine, I guess you can hook two of them together.....

We watched WINCHESTER '73 last night.  I hadn't seen it in years, and it certainly holds up extremely well.

Anthony Mann and Jimmy Stewart made some terrific Westerns together, and this is perhaps the best of them all.

It has a great cast, including Rock Hudson and Tony Curtis in minor roles.  The black-and-white cinematography is magnificent.

Someone on that site we don't mention here posted the following link to a half-hour version of Songs from "The Grass Harp."

Several of the original cast are featured. Wish the whole show had been filmed. But it's good to have this.

My baritone friend Kyle has come to sing and visit before work, my colleague Curtis, whom I truly admire, much as I kick him around, is here making corrections, and I wait on things so I can continue with my work.  I will most likely head for home shortly and see what dust I can kick up there.

I will be E & T until later this afternoon.  Mom has invited me to her dining room for lunch before I take her grocery shopping.

Bye for now!

This is terrific...even though the tape quality is not.

I love this score; have the original cast album on CD.

I recall seeing an Equity Waiver production of it in N. Hollywood, probably during the 1980s, with Susan Watson and Chris Costello.

I'm up - the phone began ringing at nine and has not stopped - I have taken one of the calls, since all the others were from 800 numbers.

Peplum films alone would fill several binders at my house.

TOD:

I would certainly need a 3 or 4 hour complication DVD of B movie trailers and another compilation DVD of my favorite Bollywood song picturizations, one from contemporary films and one from vintage films. So there's 3 dvds.

For movies, if I have a copy of something dramatic like, say, ATTACK OF THE PUPPET PEOPLE and a copy of something funny like INTERNATIONAL HOUSE, I should be ok because  I can watch those over and over (and have) without tiring of them.

Lastly, a DVD of Athletic Model Guild short subjects from the 1950s...just in case I get lonely.

Wait a minute, DR Jrand62.  Are you filing these alphabetically within category, or what exactly?  If they're filed in any kind of strict order, what happens when you acquire something new?  Or are the pages in the binder removable so you can insert new ones easily?  Or are you setting up some kind of numbering system?

We need some more information here.

How sad, the news says that Roger Ebert passed away today. I was just earlier this morning reading an interview with him about how his cancer had come back.

So tough to know what category to put the classics in - Will "Back to the Beach" go under Musical, Comedy, or Documentary?

Sad news about Ebert. I generally enjoyed reading his reviews, even when I disagreed with his opinions.
