Today I have to wash the pretty pink baby blanket I knitted for our great niece Rachel so I can wrap it as a present to take to her baptism this coming Sunday.

Good morning, all.

Thanks for the response, Larry, on "Rags." I agree with most everything you said, except I found the mistakes rather easy to forgive -- but, then, I already knew the score, so I knew how that music would help things. I can imagine not knowing the music would be a drawback with all that tsuris going on. Yet there have been shows with worse books or storylines that have run longer than "Rags." "Starlight Express," for one.

It's my memory that the production had no money to continue a run and hope to draw an audience. As I said, it's a show like TENDERLOIN or ON A CLEAR DAY: not a hit but good enough to run on merits of cast and score for while.

Did someone mention Starlight Express???    I'm considering doing that next year with my middle school kids using "heelys" instead of skates, because of course, no one knows how to skate anymore.

Oh, and I'm awake.  I had a dream that we had staged the nightmare scene of the helicopter show in the sanctuary of my church.  It began with the pastor tipping the altar over.  It was a strange dream.

They probably would enjoy that. And with that lack of pretension, the show might work better.

Hi Everyone:

DR Druxy, I listened to your sons rendition of Cat Stevens's "Wild World".  I thought his version was very good.  Then I went online and listened to "Wherever the bad things go" which I really enjoyed. He is very talented. I also write and sing ballads and play acoustic guitar.

In my younger years I loved Cat Stevens.  In fact I wrote a essay on the song "Where do the Children Play" in high school.

There are LOTS of difficult physical challenges.....very few people actually complete it....

I don't really know from the Topic of the Day.  From all the movies mentioned so far, I've only seen "Judgment at Nuremberg."
