DR MBarnham - Great movie posters yesterday. I love the publicity blurb for The Amazing Transparent Man; “Warning - The Amazing Transparent Man has vowed to appear invisibly in person at every performance of this picture in this theatre…etc” Those were the days of showmanship. ;D

I forgot I need to hit the pharmacy for my meds, Now that the laundry is finished, I can do that. And I can stop at the Food Emporium and pick up some things.

And I am back from errands!  The Food Emporium at 68th Street and Broadway is closing! Terrible news: it was so convenient to stop there on my way home from the office and pick up some things. They had great produce.

Hmm, I wonder if the chain is in financial trouble. The FE on 6th Avenue and 12th Street is closing also.

I'm up - I didn't get to bed until two-thirty, so I got a good night's sleep.  Barry Pearl is on his way over so no jog till this afternoon, but it's very overcast outside right now anyway.  He's coming here because his props person is a bit of a disaster and they have stuff that looks very silly - so they needed two period radios - one transistor and one set - I have both from the 1950s - a bakelite set and one of the first transistor radios ever made, so I'm lending them.

Back from the fundraiser.  It was fun and festive.  The silent auction and various raffles brought in $4700.  I think the menu planners forgot the entree - we had lettuce salad, fruit salad, biscuits, and baked potato halves with assorted toppings.  There were trays of small pastries on the tables.

There is a stage version of Grease now available (I think) that goes back to the original concept when it was originally done in Chicago. A lot tougher with the language, slightly different story and different songs. I know that the surviving member of the writing team work on this.

Danny dies in a knife fight with a member of the Shark's gang.

NOT!

There is also an audience <ahem> ootleg-bay recording going around. ::)

I did laundry, too.  Must be something in the air...

The new machines are great.  Bit of a learning curve -- even just watching these run, it's a whole different world -- but the the results are incredible.

From DR Vixmom:
Quote
no, no, you need a DAUGHTER  -  and she must roll her eyes as she is pushing the magic buttons -  it is a very important step

LOL  I said son because I believe he is handy at computers & figured this would be easy for him.  I don't know if this would also be something DR Sandra might easily do.
