I will be leaving shortly to collect my folks. The Vixter and I are taking them to see Hairspray at the local Arts college

I've been working on ROBERTA all morning. I just spoke to Rob Berman about the leading man problem and he had a great suggestion. Keep your fingers crossed!

Just back from brunch. It included green eggs and ham, chicken and waffles, duck confit with a poached egg, Nutella French toast and a few assorted goodies to get the day off to the right start.

The right start to make you want to nap the rest of the day away.

Too bad I have two other events today.

Hey Bk,

I never saw "Heaven Can Wait".  After reading your critique, I am very interested in seeing it.
I wonder if it will ever be on TCM or AMC.

FJL - Miss Clark was first - Helen Reddy took over for her later.

I saw a production of Next to Normal last night in a little theatre in El Cerrito.  A friend of mine played the lead, which is why I decided to brave the subject matter (which I'm not comfortable with, and I couldn't tell you why if you asked me!) and go see the show.  It was a great production.  I'm glad I finally saw the show.  Do I need to see it again?  No... would i work on the show?  Absolutely.  It's amazing how it all works together so well.  The music works perfectly with the story.  I didn't love it, and I did leave the theatre thinking that these great songs were somehow wasted on the subject matter, but it all worked well.

HEAVEN CAN WAIT is one of my Top Ten Favorite Films of all time.  I saw it four times in the first week that opened in Tacoma.  I wanted to introduce all my friends and family to this jewel.  The only other film I have done that for was CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND (the original version).  The minute BK mentioned the socre, the Main Theme popped back into my head.

Today being Sunday, when I don't go out, I did the dusting and cleaning and the laundry and the ironing and roasted the chicken and ate it.

I just added three movies to my Netflix queue. You see why I'm always bumping up against the limits of the queue?

DR Kate, I highly recommend Netflix. You get sooo much for so little money! There's seldom a wait for the old movies.

DR FJL, do you know if Helen Reddy is living in the US again? She seemed so contented back in Sydney in the interview I saw of her. I'm very glad she's performing again. Do you know if she's writing songs, too? Isn't she friends with some of your friends?

And the word of the day is: CHUFFED!

Good word! I'd heard it before, but didn't know what it meant. I should look for a dictionary of British slang.
