Monday morning greetings!  I was asleep before 10 last night and I'm easing into the week with lots of coffee.  Three mornings in a row of having to be ready for long, tiring days are enough for me.

You weren't. You were right. In all my years of being a critic, I found it much easier to focus on the negative, but more rewarding eventually to focus on what works.

TOD:

I can't say I'm a big fan of religious movies at all, except to enjoy some for their lavish and hokey spectacle like the TEN COMMANDMENTS.  I'm fond of KING OF KINGS because it does so much of it from the Roman and outsider's point of view and deals with the zealots and gives Judas an actual motivation for betraying Jesus.  And, of course, for the great Frank Thring's campy performance as Herod, "DansssssSalome!"

CD's ordered.

I love LEAVE HER TO HEAVEN....Gene Tierney is mad crazy.....  And her death scene is astonishing.  It is a credit to the cast that the movie holds together even after her character is dead.  The book is even better!  And the color photography is breathtaking.  This is one I would like to see on the B I G screen.

Here's a family photo from yesterday's festive event.  Rob and Mary Linda are behind me and niece/goddaughter Lauren and her Mom are next to me.  Lauren's fiance is behind her:

Oh, that kind of tree trimming!  I thought you meant like a Christmas Tree trimming.

Or a Hanukkah Bush.

Or a George Bush.

John G - Ah, but in the 2010's world where the point is make them talk about you and just get your moments of fame :)

isn't it intriguing that it's the sinbgle stand-out person(s) who did the less-good-than-others jobs that gets written about and singled out both in your write-up and in vixmom's write-up of the show she saw?

Hmmm., do we remember William Hung more than say Jessica Sanchez from American Idol?

I think I know who William Hung is, but I have no idea about Jessica Sanchez.

How many minutes would a handicapped person (i.e. me) last in NYC before they were mugged for their HoverRound?

Did DN / DG Lauren meet her fiance over a romantic torn cartilage?

Kind of, DR TCB...She was interning as the athletic trainer for one high school and he was assistant coaching for another and they met when the schools played a regular-season football game.

You'd be surprised at the number of people in Manhattan (mostly tourists) who get around in those chairs.

OMG!!! I thought I was the only person in the entire world who hasn't seen that show (actually no, Anthony hasn't seen an episode either). It's good to know I'm not alone.
