Mr BK did you see the French films from France that were on TCM on Tuesday night?  Most entertaining....films from Mr. Pierre Etaix - a name I did not know at all.

I especially liked Le Grand Amour.

Thanks DR Doug R,

Your description of Suspicion sounds familiar.  I love Cary Grant.  I will try to catch it on TV or borrow from the library.  The Lodger sounds scary but interesting.

DR Emore3303,

Sorry, I cannot because it is a small town local paper and you cannot access it unless you subscribe to it. Thanks for the interest.

I will try to post it with the help of my brother KevinH when he comes to town.

TOD:

I love a lot of them......but my favorite since I can't decide between them:

The Big Country
True Grit (original)

Jack, if you haven't figured it out, it's the brackets around the "s"...you should have used parentheses (s).  See? = [ s ] See? [ /s ]

What other scores do you want to do and is your work on Babes in Toyland part of the wish list?

It is, along with two Jerome Moross scores, several Kurt Weill shows, several Jerome Kern, Victor Herbert shows and orchestra music, Cole Porter - including "Jubilee" - and Rodgers & Hart. It's about 29 shows at the moment.

Well, if I ever win the lottery, you'll definitely be on my list...in a good way!

This morning, I'm listening to the news about the Boston bombing, and the anchor and reporters are talking about how the FBI has all these photos that will (hopefully) lead them to the bad guys. The are also going into great detail on how the Feds are gathering evidence and what they're looking for.

So, I'm sitting there thinking: IF I was an aspiring bomber, these guys are telling me all the things I should do to avoid getting caught when I set off my device. For example, I should wear a hat, so cameras can't get a good look at me; wear gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints, destroy my clothes, so no forensic evidence can be collected from them, etc.

Thanks, guys, for the valuable lesson.

Again, whatever happened to common sense?

Actually, all that information is spelled out in much greater detail on a lot of the crime-type TV shows, so that's probably why they put all that information in the papers...because people now expect it. :-\

Good Morning Everyone:

My nephew has left for Baltimore to get ready for American Ninja Warrior tryouts.  It will be Friday and Saturday.

Kevin H, my other brother Rick, and my niece will also be going.

Also, we are having a benefit for my brother/law Dave this Saturday at a Post.  He has a rare form of cancer.  Please pray for his recovery.

DR elmore--you don't have to go in person.  You can fill out the form online, print it out, sign it and mail it in with your old passport, photos and fee.  This applies if your passport was issued within 15 years (which I'm quite sure it was since you traveled last year!).  The website is travel.state.gov.

I'm afraid so.  And if you try to sneak in the same photos as in your current photo you'll get a letter!

Just spoke to Kate.  Here's the link to her local paper--but you can only see the first few sentences and a photo of her brother-in-law:

Well, I must be off.  Tonight is the women's version of "Reservoir Dogs."  And since there's only one performance, I should be able to get to sleep at a reasonable hour...which is still pretty late for most people. ;)

Be back later!

Ate some bacon and eggs, then went to Grant's - as I suspected, entering the fixes went very quickly - less than an hour.  Unfortunately he could not open the docx's that I'd sent him with the blurbs and flap copy, so I had to make them standard docs and send as soon as I got home.  So, he has everything now and it will all be at the publisher in the morning.  I'm hoping we can get books at the end of April.
