Well, you've read the notes, the notes were trademarked and yet not trademarked, and now it is time for you to post until the trademarked cows come home.

Good morning, all.

A strange but mostly okay night of sleep, during which I woke several times starting at 3:30 a.m. for apparently no reason.  Dreams were benign, as far as I can recall.  Poe (the cat, not the gentleman buried in Baltimore) kept coming up to cuddle, and he's a great cuddler when the mood strikes him.  I did lose some sleep between all the waking and then getting up quite early, so will settle for a nap later this morning, that I might be as proverbially fresh as the proverbial daisy for rehearsal this evening.  In the meantime...

Coffee!

BK,

Perhaps it is time to consider going with a new publisher?

I just finished doing this book trailer for another author.

It's a fun book about the Golden Age of Television, which you might enjoy reading.

That's Fred Frees doing the voice over.

Good morning, all.

Enjoying Juliana Hansen's album as I start the day. Nice eye-opener.

It is my understanding that you can register a title, but that you cannot copyright a title.....but that could just be for the movies....

That was part of the problem in 1965 when we ended up with two movies both titled HARLOW....

Good morning, all! I slept quite poorly, and I blame the burger, not the waiter. At 6:00 last night, I was still feeling quite full from lunch, so I had no dinner. By 10pm, I was ravenous and ate too much junk. I was up and down all night, plus my shoulder still aches and I had a very restless night. I slept late this morning, to be awakened by a call from Paris concerning Liz Callaway charts. Now that I am up and moving, I will do laundry, tidy the apartment, and work on cutting these liner notes to shreds.

DR ChasSmith, what the fawning, obnoxious waiter needs is not to hear DEAREST ENEMY but to hear from someone in charge everything he's doing wrong as a waiter before someone nastier than I complains about what a nuisance he is to his customers.

I'm thinking it's time to put away the long trousers and put on shorts!

Obnoxious waiters are legion. My least favorites are the ones who think I need a back massage. Ewww. These are people who are touching the plates with my food on it.

TOD: Lately I've become a fish taco fanatic -- as long as they are done right. And the other night at a Moroccan restaurant, I had something wonderful called pastilla (or bastilla, depending on the translator): Salmon and shrimp wrapped in phyllo dough and served with a white wine cream sauce.

Just got off the phone with the publisher and the book is going directly to the next phase today - so, crisis done.  They were quite in the wrong about the trademark and have apologized - they obviously had no problem with the show being used as a plot device in the book itself, just worried about its use in the title - I could have become hard-headed about it, but we all kind of like the new title better and they are more comfortable with it so that was my decision and on it goes to the galley and cover proof phase.  Grant and Muse Margaret both thought the new title conjured up exactly what the book was better than using the show title and I see their point - so, perhaps the drama was good.  And here it is:

Anyone who knows the classic Music Man font and notes the trombone will know instantly what the school musical is.

They just want to prevent a possible lawsuit, BK. I think someone else here asked about that, and I wondered about it as well.
