WHATEVER HAPPENED TO APRIL?

Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of the last day of April, and now it is time for you to post until the April cows come home.

Thanks, Fred.

It looks that way. One more antibiotic pill today and then he's done. He's sleeping through the night without congestion and soon he'll be back to class. It's been a long two weeks.

Good morning, all! Last night's sleep was more nightmares about ROBERTA and frustrating calls to the US, since Dublin time is five hours ahead of Manhattan's. Jason Graae and our engineer Brian Masterson both looked great, but the dream was complete frustration. On a less frustrating note, I did managed to condense 3700+ words of the DEAREST ENEMY history to 3100+, in all a cut of 1700 words. I'm not happy with some of the cuts, but I've still got to lose 500 more. Then I can tackle the second huge essay for the recording booklet.

Today I need to hit my bank, call for the X-ray, go to Toyland and print thenew vocal score pages, and take the score to Kinko's for copying. Perhaps I'll hear from the actor's agent today.

Good morning, all.

And happy birthday, Sheldon Harnick.

Continued vibes, Elmore. Continued vibes for Anthony.  And for all in need.

Charley, a new retiree-greeter at Wal-Mart, just couldn't seem to get to work on time.

Every day he was 5, 10, 15 minutes late. But he was a good worker, really tidy, clean-shaven, sharp-minded and a real credit to the company and obviously  demonstrating their "Older Person Friendly" policies.

One day the boss called him in to the office for a talk.

"Charley, I have to tell you, I like your work ethic, you do a bang-up job when you finally get here; but your being late so often is quite bothersome."

"Yes, I know boss, and I am working on it."

"Well good, you are a team player. That's what I like to hear."

"Yes sir, I understand your concern and I'll try  harder."

Seeming puzzled, the manager went on to comment, "It's odd though your coming in late. I know you're retired from the Armed Forces. What did they say to you there if you showed up in the morning so late and so often?"

The old man looked down at the floor, then smiled.

He chuckled quietly, then said with a grin, "They usually saluted and said, 'Good morning, Admiral, can I get your coffee, sir?'"

I've heard from the actor's agent and the offer is made. We'll see what happens next. The new vocal score is ready for the printer and I have two small fixes to tape into the full scores.

Tuesday morning greetings!  It's a gloriously beautiful day in SW Ohio and I'm thinking about a walk outside.  I did make it to the Y yesterday and had a nice workout on the treadmill and NuStep, so today's walk will be gentle.

A belated happy birthday to DR Vixter who I met in person way back in 2004 when she was just a child...now she is all grown up! A lovely, sweet, kind, open minded, grown up! The kind the world needs more of!

I suppose I'm up - telephone call did that - covers ready for approval.  I approved the hardcover, but the spine of the softcover looks weird to me and doesn't match the spine of the hardcover, so they'll look at that, fix, then I'll approve - that will happen in the next couple of hours then it's off to the printer for the test books.
