Third off -  oy and vey.  Where to start?

I got an apartment - I'll be moving toward the end of the month.  The DP is buying me out, so that is nice.  I'll be glad to be gone from here permanently.

The helicopter show is up and running.  The reviews are fine, but the show is great.

So much other crap going on (hence my absence from HHW), too much to get into.  But everything seems to be fine.

Thank so much to all of you, Cilla.  Vibes to you from New york.

Cilla, what is Facebook etiquette?  Are you supposed to acknowledge birthday wishes there?

You can "like" them or a lot of times people just do one post thanking everyone for the birthday wishes

Going to a fancy dinner for Harry Lennix and his wife.  One of my friends is a friend of his. He came to town to do some classes etc at the local community college.

Regarding yesterday's mention of NETFLIX STREAMING...although the licenses on a whole lot of films in their library expired yesterday (thankfully, all of the Vera Hruba Ralston films are still available to watch!), they managed to add a ton of titles today...lots of interesting stuff, old and new.

One thing I really love about NETFLIX STREAMING is the selection of documentaries. Some days when I feel like watching something, but nothing I have on DVD appeals to me at that moment, I always seem to find something of interest in the documentary section of NETFLIX STREAMING.

We wish we could stream here.

You should be able to if you have wireless internet. You just do it via an Apple TV box or a BluRay player or other compatible devices.

Today at work, we had a person from one of the branch libraries visit Tech. Services and learn all about how things happen behind the scenes.  She was here from 10:00 am, and just left about 10 minutes ago.  We in Acquisitions demonstrated our processes last, so it's all over now.

Back from an absolutely wonderful lunch with Miss Nancy Kwan.  This woman is as beautiful today as she was back in 1960.  And she signed close to 150 booklets, which means most people who ordered directly from Kritzerland will get a signed copy.  What a doll.

I always enjoy stories like this.

We have wireless it doesn't work.  We have been told by multiple people not to bother.  Even the guy at Best Buy when we were going to purchase boosters, or something, said he couldn't get it to work well & to forget about it.

Tonight (actually, in less than an hour), I'm going to leave work to usher downtown for Los Folkloristas.  I'm sure that it'll be a great concert!

Quote
Having celebrated their 45th anniversary season in 2011, Mexico’s "Los Folkloristas" continue their mission set in 1966 "to preserve and record the traditional music of Mexico and Latin America." Carrying more than 100 instruments in their collection, and performing music from up to 15 different countries and pre-Columbian Mexico, a performance with this seven-member ensemble is like taking a musical journey through Latin America. As ambassadors of traditional Latin folk music, "Los Folkloristas" successes include the release of more than 30 albums world-wide.

I've been attempting to track the Camarillo Springs fire in Ventura County.  I've got friends out there.  Those accounted for are fine if the wind doesn't change directions.  They are very close to it.

I read a story on facebook yesterday that has made me feel sick all day.  A facebook friend of mine's (an author her name is Kristine Cheney) grand-daughter is very sick.  They found out yesterday that she has a grapefruit size tumor near her kidney that is cancerous.  I don't know this woman personally. But have followed her story for a while.

I feel so sick for this little girl (Evie they call her "Chicken"). She is maybe 3 or so.  I thought maybe anyone who wants to could include her in their prayers.

Vibes for dear little Evie!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
