Today I took a four hour tour of Copenhagen, and I learned four important things:

1.)  All men in Copenhagen have a 30" waist
2.)  All men in Copenhagen wear skin tight Skinny Jeans
3.)  All men in Copenhagen are either gay or openly bi-sexua
l
4.)  If the first three don't apply the guy is probably an American

All the best to you on your birthday, DR Danise!!! I hope it is a swell day!

How lovely!   I did have a wonderful day.  They didn't know I was coming to work today (the septic tank was going to be installed today but got moved) so they scrambled and someone went and got balloons and a card and a cake!  I also got double nickels since I'm now 55 and a cow drink coaster.  Friday, my boss, Lucy is going to bring in Flan!!  She was going to do it on Thursday when I was going to back at work but I surprised her by coming to work today!

I saw I'll Eat You Last, yesterday evening.

We had rush tickets which are the last row of the mezzanine at the Booth Theatre. I love the Booth. It's probably my favorite theatre on Broadway. It's small and beautifully maintained and the mezzanine is close enough that the last row doesn't put you in the heavens so you can't see or hear what's going on.

The show was actually quite good. After all the carping I did, I'm very glad I got to see it. The play is no great shakes but it's full of funny one-liners. Midler gives an excellent performance. She's not Midler up there doing shtick in the style of Sue Mengers, she's Sue for the evening. She really inhabits the character and she's believable and funny and poignant. She should have been nominated for a Tony. The set is gorgeous and Joe Mantello does a good job of taking this lump of a play and turning it into something watchable for 85 minutes (no intermission). The $80 tickets that I mentioned a few weeks ago have now gone up to $87 (they were the seats I sat in) and on Friday those same tickets are $92!!! I know if those were the prices I paid I wouldn't have seen the show but for $35 I had a wonderful night in the theatre.

We are now looking to do Kinky Boots on Rush. $37 at the Al Hirschfeld. We just have to pick a date. I will also be doing Pippin on Rush $37 at the Music Box (another of my favorite Broadway houses).

That reminds me of one of my favorite NYC stories.  I was walking down 45th Street back to the Milford Plaza one evening, and there was a young couple with their two chilldren walking in front of me.  The little boy was in the "What's this?" stage of development.  So the little boy pointe to a restaurant and asked, "What's this?" and his mother said that is a restaurant.  Then the little boy pointed ot a shop and said, "What's this?  And his mother answered that it was a store.  Then the little boy pointed to the Booth Theatre and asked, "What's this?"  .And his mother said, "That's the theater where Lincoln was shot."

I am just hearing that Ray Harryhausen has died at the age of 92.

Do you think they will re-animate him at the service?

Mine would be:

I don't remember the movie (Keith would) but I like the poster.

I may be in a little bit of trouble at work.  I wouldn't post this on FB because some people I'm friends with are from there.  We are going though a class.  Well the assignment for this week is to tell 2 things you like and 1 you don't about every person on the floor.  They said it would be a secret as to who says what but they call it "A Gift of Feedback".  Well, I'm sorry folks but I don't see it that way.  I feel like you could say fifty nice things but all anyone is going to look at is the things you don't like.  By making it a secret as to who said what your going to have people wondering if you are the one who said something that could possibly be taken as hurtful.

I said I wanted to be excused from this assignment because I felt it wasn't a "Gift" but a "Pandora's Box".  I think something like this is more likely to cause more problems then help build the team.

Anyway, I was excused but it was at the very end of the day and I just have a feeling I'm going to be called down to the office whenI get back.

I think I did the right thing.  I can't believe we would be asked to even do this type of thing.  What do you think?
