Well, you've read the notes, the notes were the mother of all notes, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently celebrating MOOther's Day.

I thought that it was supposed to be available exclusively at Screen Archives (which doesn't have it listed, yet).

Yesterday, I woke up and watched an episode of "Antiques Roadshow."  After finally leaving my house, I went to my sister's for a little bit to help her move a curio cabinet.  She's repainting her entry hall and living room and needed to move a couple things.  After that, I worked concessions for a performance by a local big band.  It turns out that a friend of mine, Karen, was performing with them.  We hadn't seen each other in years!  We met when she played Rose in Gypsy and I was in the chorus.  We also were in a couple of musical revues together.  One, "The Magic of Broadway:  The Envelope Please...", was my idea (but not my title).  We did songs from the musicals that won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.  This was in the late 1990s, so Rent was the last musical to win the award.  Karen and I did the Sunday in the Park with George songs.  That's probably the only time that I'll ever get to sing anything from that show.  We had a LOT of fun with that revue. :D

Today, my friend Margo, her friend Marsha and I are going to lunch.  Marsha and I have the same birthday (May 5), and for the last several years, we've all had lunch together.  This year, Marsha and some friend of hers went to Hawaii for her 60th birthday and she just got back a few days ago.  We're going to Red Robin, because I have their rewards card and will get a free birthday burger!

After that, I'm going to my parents' house to celebrate Mother's Day.  We're not planning on meeting until 4:00 pm anyway, so I have time to go to lunch first.  I got her some hanging baskets because my parents are getting a new, covered deck put on the back of their house.  I got some baskets for her last year and she loved them, so (hopefully) she'll love these, too.

It's so funny to think that Bruce actually believes Time-Warner might give a rat's ass about him and his problems.

Time-Warner is a steaming swamp of sh*t.

They don't care about anyone or anything. Their business model is to screw every customer, some more openly than others.

They operate to gouge as much money out of each customer as they possibly can and deliver as little product or service as possible.

They hire brain-dead, underpaid, under trained lackeys who sit in cubicles reading from a script. Most of them are not even in the cities from which you are calling. They live in cubicle farms in low-wage states and from the way I was treated over the years, they hate their jobs as much as I hate them.

The only way TWC will really respond to a legitimate problem is if you call in outside forces like the Better Business Bureau and (I kid you not) cc the letter to the BBB and TWC to your city and state legislative representatives. Otherwise, it can drag on and nothing happens.

I learned long ago that TWC deserves any and all opprobrium heaped on it.

If the President of TWC was lying in the street on fire, I wouldn't piss on him to put it out.

I, by the way, no longer have cable, Time-Warner or other. I've been without cable for 4 years and I couldn't be happier. I get my Internet through the phone company (DSL, not FIOS) and I'm happy.

Good morning, all.

I agree with Ben about Time Warner. Only problem: AT&T is worse, in my opinion, which I guess BK has already discovered. Sad, isn't it?

JRand, I need help from the Dream-o-matic. Had a strange one last night. I had been housesitting in a place for a while and had stopped visiting the place because my parents had begun staying there. It was a beautiful two-story old building out in the country. Anyway, the house was being used for a formal fundraiser and I was headed back there early so I could get a white shirt to replace the one that came with the rented tux and I couldn't wear. But I was fully dressed in the tux, including the tie, as I went to get the shirt. I was in a large bathroom with an old claw-footed bathtub when the owner's cat, who had run away several months before, appeared. The cat started drinking nonstop out of some stale water that had been left standing in the bathtub. I tried to get the cat to stop drinking the stale water. Instead, the cat jumped into the tub. Then it somehow jumped into an old-fashioned milk bottle and began shape-shifting, which I took in as if it were the most natural thing in the world. One form was a faun-colored bunny. Suddenly, my bird was with me and wanted to play with the cat or other animal, which is not what I wanted to happen. By this time, the cat was out of the bottle and had settled on a mottled coat unlike its original black and white fur. And then the cat ran off and I went back to getting the shirt on because dinner was getting near, and an Asian family I didn't know had arrived early.

Good morning, all! I slept very late this morning and I wish I were still in bed. I have no plans today, absolutely none.

I'm hoping for a very quiet day.

I watched the Guilt Trip yesterday. I think if you like Barbara Streisand as a nagging mother then you might like this. I didn't love it. But it was an enjoyable and sort of funny dvd. And for free (library) I enjoyed it.

Oh, thank you, DR Jrand62.  I couldn't remember if those symptoms were what y'all had dealt with, or if it was something else.  At any rate, a quick scan with Malwarebytes turned up one item, but nuking that didn't get rid of the problem, and a "full" scan turned up nothing additional.
