THE BOOKS ARRIVE EARLY
« on: May 16, 2013, 12:19:50 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes arrived late rather than early, and now it is time for you to post until the late rather than early cows come home.

Good morning, all! I slept relatively well. Thank God for Tylenol Arthritis; it's pretty good for the pains. although nothing beats Tylenol with codeine!

This morning, I am off to Rodgers & Hammerstein for my final pass through the DEAREST ENEMY archive. I need to answer some questions I do not remember about what I did in 2002 to reconstruct the show.  I'll stop at Toyland, drop off some music for my colleague Curtis, pick up a ROBERTA vocal score for Jason Graae, and head home.

Ethel Merman probably wished she had confused the two.

Good morning, all.

Thunderstorm rolling in. Wonder what that'll do to the day's plans.

Glenn Ford I always enjoyed, then I saw 3:10 to Yuma and realized that he was more than a pretty face and an engaging actor. He was something to watch. Also liked the Big Heat, Pocketful of Miracles and Gilda.

Borgnine: The Wild Bunch

Rod Steiger: In the Heat of the Night.

Thursday morning greetings!  At 6am the sun was so bright that I put my sleep mask on and, the next thing I knew, it was 9:30.  That's a real sleep-in for me.  Now it looks like it's getting ready to rain...

TOD:

Glenn Ford
BABIES FOR SALE (1940)
BLONDIE PLAYS CUPID (1940)
FOLLOW HE SUN (1951)
BLACKBOARD JUNGLE (1955)

TCM was showing a slew of Glenn Ford movies a few weeks back

Ernest Borgnine

I think he is a fine actor, but I don't really have any favorite Borgnine films...in fact, I have seen very few of his films...I should rectify that.

Rod Steiger
I love the film BACK FROM ETERNITY, but to be honest, I'd forgotten Steiger was even in it.
