USPS has come and gone. The perishable item did not arrive and I am not amused. An email has been sent.

I can walk up to the furniture store at 85th and look at bookcases now.

DR Doug, I was so sorry to hear about the attack in London the other day. I'd read about it, but always like getting a "man on the ground" report. Vibes for safety.

Since Clever George knows how to get to the ghost site, he should go check it out.

I did!  Wow!  Very nice!  However...at the very bottom, the link to the board is incorrectly spelled:  "Click here to got to he Unseemly Discussion Board".  A rogue "t" has jumped back over a word!

Vixmom-style, that is all.

I left the apartment as a drizzle began. By the time I reached  the furniture store, there was a downpour. I paid for the bookcase (10% Memorial Day discount) and tld the clerk I'd come for it tomorrow. I waited for a break in the storm, and about fifteen minutes later it was over. I carried the bookcase the three blocks home, and it's set up. waiting for me to fill the shelves. Excellent, and the whole thing cost me after discount $79.00.

My ankle and wrist continue to improve. I will be seeing my regular doctor next week and we will discuss if any further treatment or tests are needed. I'm mostly just annoyed at this point! Thanks for asking.

Sounds like a very good deal. Glad to hear you got it.

If you have call display you can just not answer if you don't recognize the number. If it is important they will leave a message.

I got a new bike helmet but I have to give it back. :(

It's too bad because it was a really good deal. I thought it fit at the store. But I couldn't completely try it on properly because it had cardboard attached to the top that I could not take off.

It feels too tight. I looked at my old bike helmet and it says 54-60cms. And the new one says 54-57 cms.

DR Jennifer maybe the store can exchange your helmet for the correct size at the same price.  Next time ask them to remove the cardboard while you try it on.  It is terribly annoying all the attached crap we have to deal with when trying on clothes.  I've insisted on items being removed for me that were simply too bulky to work around.

I think annoyed should be categorized as a sign of improvement.  :)

I doubt it. I'm not that enthusiastic about showing off my slum.
