Since Nook did a recent upgrade and added new AAPS I've been having issues with my Nook taking forever to do what I request it to do.  Half the time I have to shut it off and turn it back on.  I really need to give them a call.

I would turn the page and get the same page  over and over and over again  or just get a blank page

When I get the same page over and over on my Nook I just close the book I'm reading and reopen it and it works fine

Tonight I walked over to check out the furniture my neighbor was loading up to take to a weekend flea market.  I saw a few good things and he gives me a good discount since he doesn't have to haul it, but I decided not to get anything.

Then he asked me if I've been watching the falcon.  I had no idea what he was talking about so he pointed out the nest and said that it's a prairie falcon. I took some photos that I posted on FB, but they aren't that great.  I was doing some research when I got home.  I know his grand kids think it's a prairie falcon, but I'm thinking it might be a Cooper's hawk

Then I looked out my window and right there in broad daylight a doe and fawn...at that awkward teenage phase....walked across my yard and started eating the weeds across the street (yeah for that).  I'm starting to feel like I live in the woods instead of in town, lol

Last night, the air conditioning wasn't working at the dance studio, so it was like Bikram ballroom. And, of course, one class was focused on bolero, which is strenuous and really up close and personal. Just what you want when it feels like it's 100 degrees in the room.

What is a Bikram ballroom?
The air conditioner was broke and the temperature inside the studio felt like it was 100 degrees. So we sweated and sweated as we did practiced our dances.

I'm not sure why so many people are surprised that the Jodi Arias jury couldn't make a decision on life or death.  That's a pretty tough decision.  I could never vote for death.  I heard the split was 8 death 4 life.
So, now they have to get a new jury if the County Attorney is going to push the death penalty.  They don't have to start over, but they have to present all the evidence they think is relevant for the decision of life or death.

We have a chance of rain every day for the next 7 days.  Today was beautiful. I did mow part of the yard (until the handle broke on my lawn mower).   My yard is such a mess it was sort of like giving a nearly bald man a haircut

Lost a business card and I need the phone number. It's irritating.

I think I'm just going to go to bed.

Good night, all.

Cillaliz, go to whatbird.com and make an account and post your photo there. Those people can id anything. Tell them where you saw it.

ETA: Click on "forums" and then "help me ID a bird"

One of the reasons I'm not sure it's the prairie falcon is that they don't usually nest in trees and my neighbor watched them build this nest and they are definitely living in it.  They also are a little farther west than here.  I realize they could be outside their area, but I'm just not sure.

What about the cooper's hawk? Do you think they look similar?

You're right about them not nesting in trees. My book says cliff edges.

We have lots of hawks around here, I bet that's what it is.  I'll try for a better photo over the next few days. My neighbor says when he sits by his garage the bird will swoop and sit on the rail around his deck on the second floor

TOD:

FAV BRIT STAGE COMEDIES:

IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST
NOISES OFF
ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS
THE RIVALS
PRESENT LAUGHTER
PRIVATE LIVES
FALLEN ANGELS
CAESAR & CLEOPATRA
MISALLIANCE
ROSENCRANTZ & GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD
THE MAGISTRATE

FAV BRIT FILM COMEDIES:

LIFE OF BRIAN
KIND HEARTS & CORONETS
NOTTING HILL
HOBSON'S CHOICE
CAESAR & CLEOPATRA
CARRY ON CLEO
SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE

I just learned something :)

I didn't realize NOISES OFF or PRESENT LAUGHING were originally British.

If you mean ENTER LAUGHING, that's Carl Reinerand is American.  If you mean PRESENT LAUGHTER; it's Noel Coward and couldn't be more British.  I saw the original production, orignal cast of NOISES OFF at the Savoy Theatre in London.  Verrrry British...

Well, I must be going.  I want to go home for a little bit before tonight's final dress rehearsal of "Cinder Edna."  We're having an invited preview audience.  It'll be a VERY different show...as the first-audience-previews always are.

Be back later!

Tonight, we had a great show with a small, but appreciative audience.  I found out (on Facebook) that there's a HERE to see the two-minute video.
