I'm not sure these "character" introductions really work...

This second musical excerpt is curiously under-energized.

I wonder if it's because the RSMH stage is so l-a-r-g-e.

Looking forward to reading all about it - we don't start for three more hours.  A shame it doesn't work like the Oscars.

Last year, we had not only the Oscars, but also the Golden Globes and I think the Emmys.  It was nice not having to keep warning people about spoilers.

Went from grade school to high school..well clearly the actors aren't high school age, but isn't it about cheerleaders?

You should read the Facebook comments about the opening number - BEST OPENING EVER says Lucie Arnaz - and others can't wait to agree.  GENIUS.  BRILLIANT.  And anyone who doesn't think so hates theater and is a jerk.  We shall see which camp I'm in.

I was very happy for the Best Supporting Actor; I've always liked his work. I was rooting for Spike; I liked Billy when he was on ONE LIFE TO LIVE.

I wonder, DR Cillaliz, if DROOD wasn't mentioned in the opening because it's no longer running. This show has become all about getting tourist butts into theatre seats and the cast coildn't be a part of the opening's routines.

Shot of the audience from the back of the house revealed MANY MANY lit screens of people tweeting and Facebooking.....
