All right, time to do a few things before I settle down to read.

I also need to read.

I love a good fruitcake - no liquor please, just honest-to-goodness fruitcake - however, it's hugely caloric, worse than pie.

I am sure when you've been in the business as long as you have you must have know a lot of good fruitcakes.

Funny, I avoid the ones without liquor as they usually don't have enough flavor for me.  Do you avoid the ones with it?  Can you always tell without looking at the ingredients?

I would never eat a fruitcake with liquor - and yes, I always look at the ingredients list if I'm buying in a store.  If I'm given one I ask first.

They're talking about the gay lobby in the Vatican on TV.

Is it a political group trying to get the Pope to accept gay marriage?

:)

I had a neighbor that grew fresh catnip, boy oh boy did the cats like that!  It didn't last as long as the dried stuff in toys.

ASK BK

Who would like to play in you in a movie adaptation of "There's Mel, There's Woody, and There's You": My Life in the Slow Lane"?

I can't think of anyone who would have the necessary me-ness.

Don't get caught showering or otherwise without clothing in that.  That's known as full funnel nudity.

Isn't that in a Frank Loesser lyric:  Do not leave us minus / Our vicarious me-ness.

Happy birthday, Richard Sherman! Hope it's full of supercalifragilisticexpialidocious wonder.
Ditto.  As nice a man as you could ever meet.  And speaking of which, I just came across this ad which features one of my favorite Sherman Brothers songs, Hushabye Mountain.

Love those music jokes.  How long have these been going around?  I hadn't seen any of them.

I am watching a Japanese motion picture from Japan, whilst doing all manner of updates on my Macbook Air in advance of the trip to Washington DC.

It hadn't done updates for about three months, so there was Office, there was a security update, new Safari, new iTunes, etc.
