Then we played through the stuff for her Ira Gershwin cabaret she booked in August.  I have to assemble this very quickly and we'll stage it in July when she's here.  This time I told her she had to give me four full days to get it on its feet and get her at performance level, then I'll probably come back for the show in August.

Will that be in DC or New York?

DC and then maybe the Metropolitan Room

Back from a very good meal at a place called Clyde's, which is quite popular with the populace.  I had Wild Alaska Salmon, pan-seared and served over quinoa and asparagus in a balsamic reduction - I have no idea what any of that means, but it was really good, and really low in calories.  I will attempt to do the treadmill in about an hour, although I'm also tempted to just go jog on the street.

Several spam registrations got through today, all from the same place so thank you butt cheeks and I just took captcha to the next level of security.  There are still three levels above and if these ASSES get around this one, then I'll just go to the highest - with that I really don't think many, if any, will get through.

This little 5 year old girl just keeps getting cuter by the minute as 911 kept her on the phone.  All ended well.

I loved "The Bonnie Hunt Show."  She always had those feel good moments.

We love her in just about anything.

Raccoon update. I don't want to jinx things or be guessing too soon, but I think she's gone. Yup. Quiet all day yesterday, quiet all last night and quiet today. Tomorrow morning the carpenter and trapper are both coming bright and early so we'll figure it out and if she's not there, close it up, at least temporarily until it can be fixed properly

I'd read that she's going to be on a new scripted show in the fall!  I really want to see it...just because she's in it. ;D

Ok, I enjoy watching a lot of reality shows.  I realize they aren't real, but I find them entertaining, so that's why I watch.  I do like Next Food Network Star - so glad last night's loser is gone.  I also like Design Star, HGTV's similar competition.  I like watching the goofy things people come up with on both shows.   If I have to have a guilty pleasure it's Celebrity Apprentice.  It cracks me up, scripted or not.  I get the impression all these shows are scripted but also have a lot of unscripted stuff that is highly edited.  No matter to me.

I also really like House Hunters.  I think it's pretty clear from some of the episodes that the couple has looked at lots of houses, these are just the three for the show.  I also know that some of them have already picked the house and it's all a farce, but I still like looking at the houses and the landscaping and trying to guess which one they will pick.  I liked Love It or List It when it first came on, but I really hate it for the same reasons as others.

I hate the Bachelor stuff and most of the vote someone off the island stuff
I like Dancing with the Stars, but I'm getting tired of it.  I couldn't believe anyone actually agreed to do Splash  - the diving competition.  Talk about a bizarre show, I would turn it on and sometimes couldn't look away but it hurt to watch

I liked The Amazing Race for a number of years, but have tired of it too.  I hate things like Wipe Out and other obstacle course things.  I keep waiting for someone to break a neck and die, of course that wouldn't air or would have been over covered by the media before hand, but I still cringe when I see that as the channel turns.

Today is my brother Randy's 56th birthday, and I just spoke to him. Amazon.com had dated the arrival of his birthday package tomorrow, but it arrived today. I was very happy.

MAJOR CRIMES is on tonight so I'm going to settle in, watch that, read a bit of my mystery and go to bed.

DR cillaliz, great raccoon news!

I don't watch Idol or the Voice and don't have any interest.   I sometimes enjoy America's Got Talent, but haven't watched that in a while either.

Thanks Elmore.  I'm not positive yet, but I think we'll know in the morning.  You can do a flap where they can get out but not back in. I'm hoping the carpenter can do that for a while just in case

Oh Antiques Roadshow!  I do like that.  I like Storage Wars too, but it came out awhile ago that they put something valuable in most or all of them, but it's the personalities that make me augh

You know I love "Antiques Roadshow"! :D I also love "America's Got Talent," but I don't consider that a "reality" show...it's a talent contest.  My favorite was "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List."  It was highly edited (and that wasn't a secret) and I don't think that Kathy ever pretended that it was anything other than a "reality"-based comedy show.  I loved it!

I guess I was just thinking if non-drama or sit-com stuff as reality, I'm sure that's a overbroad

Back from 2.8 miles on the treadmill - really hard - but burned 380 calories, or basically my breakfast - so I'm in good shape for the day, calorie-wise.  Here's me sweating and heaving after the treadmill.

Vixmom, that is hilarious! And I hope very effective!

I was asked to give the message one time when we were between pastors. Puppets were involved.
