The lovely Alvin Ing was, of course, in the Kritzerland Rodgers and Hammerstein evening - a shame FJL doesn't remember these things.

My memory is not what it used to be, thanks to events of the past many months.  But IIRC, your name did indeed come up in conversation at the party, in great contexts of course.

But I did remember to link your PSYCHO musical at the Times chat when the subject came up today.  One out of two ain't bad.

Babs states the obvious and tells the people of Israel how to deal with its Orthodox men-women issue:  as if the U.S. has solved its own issues in that regard.

I'm Just joking!

But actually, I often wondered if I could be an actress.

I do believe I could cry and laugh and show real emotion on cue.

DR Cillaliz - I am very glad that this did not become your fate:

It does happen to people who have doggy doors, including our own DR Edi.

Hoping the weather holds one more day and the carpenters actually arrive tomorrow.  I'm sure the cats are going to freak at construction when I'm not home, but they don't need to come in the house to do it.  I'll just leave the house locked up.  It will be fine

I'm hoping that once they get the eaves off and the flashing off that it's a fairly quick fix.  My dream is I come home at noon and it's all done.   Probably a dream, but it's possible

The last weekend of this month is Salem's World Beat Festival. I recently joined the India-US Friendship: Salem Division group and they have asked me to help them out with their booth...this year's theme for the group is: Bollywood! (2013 is the 100 year anniversary of Indian cinema.)

Attended my first meeting last night with Dikshant and Kahtyia and have another meeting next Tuesday with the board of directors. I am looking very forward!

Mikey, do they still burn witches at the stake in Salem?  What about warlocks?

Lupone Piano Mishap

Quote
A piano malfunction twice threatened to derail Broadway star Patti LuPone’s show last night at the  Leicester Square Theatre. When the piano pedal stuck after her opening number, Don’t Rain on My Parade, Patti moved into chat mode as technicians stripped the baby grand on stage in front of 400 fans.

After the problem appeared to be fixed, the piano made it through one more number before Patti called for an interval and a second piano was hauled onto the stage. My man in the stalls said: “It didn’t seem to throw her. She got three standing ovations.” A replacement baby grand is due on stage tonight. Let’s hope it behaves.

I am thinking that DR FJL could have a ball with this one!   :)

I heard she thought the piano was taking pictures of her.
