I was in the doctor's office when I saw the news. No one else was paying attention to such an important moment in history.

I don't think anyone was really surprised, at least I wasn't.  With only 5 to 4 I suppose I should be.

Bruce why did you suddenly think it was DR Sandra's birthday?

Okay, dear Laura so why were you saying it was her birthday yesterday if it's in April?  Me no comprehendo.  Someone explain it to me.  Apparently Laura doesn't like the coprophiliac joke book - pity that.  It was created first by composer David Shire and then I pitched in as it were.

Because someone said it was yesterday - do you think I just pulled it out of thin air?

Of course I didn't think you pulled it out of the air or I wouldn't have asked-lol.

Okay, someone is trying to gaslight me - I just went back two days - of course, Laura made a whopping two posts the day before and a few yesterday with the word birthday not appearing in them - but I saw the words birthday and Sandra in close proximity - why else would I have made the post I did otherwise.

LOL Maybe you did pull it out of thin air :)  Having her wisdom teeth pulled on her birthday would have been horrible-lol

It's also fascinating to me that the lovely Laura photographs which used to delight people here are now only posted to Facebook.  And that after revamping this board so photos are now easy as pie to post.  I'll just sit here and scratch my old Jew head.

I hate when I can't figure out why I have information in my head that I can't prove is correct or figure out why it is wrong.

Bruce are you intentionally not answering my facebook question :)   I do have a reason beyond simple curiosity for wanting an answer to it.

I just wish it wasn't 5 to 4.

I know.  But, a majority is a majority.

Jane, was your Facebook question whether I'm staying away because of negative stuff - both, actually.  Every time something happens that's big - Obama, some bill passes or doesn't pass, some event of importance happens, it just becomes a festival of trumpeting - yes, it's great and yes trumpeting is fine, but I don't need to be there at all for it because it's all you see all the time.  Not for me.  Some of us celebrate in our own quiet way just by being appreciative that occasionally justice prevails.

Bruce I said I noticed you had been added to the the Hamilton High Friends page.  I'm wondering if you requested this invite or if Jackie (a mutual FB friend of ours) simply added you.

None of the supposed "cures" for hiccups (a spoonful of sugar, etc., etc) have ever worked for me!    :P
You have my sympathy, DR Jane!

Thanks DR sindaw.  I went and lied down and breathed deeply.  It is the only thing that works for me.  When I was at my cousin's wedding I had a terrible attack and the woman next to me insisted I gulp down a big glass of water.  All that did was send me hiccuping to the bathroom multiple times.  It isn't easy to hiccup with a full bladder or to walk in heels.  I know I looked drunk and it wouldn't be the first time people came to that conclusion while I was hiccuping.

So, I was happy I've lost 6 pounds and decided it was time to rejoin Curves and start working out.  So I go and they weighed me, and WHAT! I was 9 pounds heavier than this morning on my own scale.  That was not a pleasant thing to see.  So I went to WalMart and bought a new digital scale.  It had about three different weights in as many minutes but was actually the same weight as the one at Curves.  Now doesn't that just stink. Anyway, I decided to go by the higher weight.  I changed all my WW stats so I still lost 6 pounds.  At least I got 2 months free at Curves.
