How on earth could I forget The Lone Ranger, my top favorite growing up - never missed an episode.  I also loved Have Gun, Will Travel.  One of my school mates, Barry Glasser, who I went to grammar school with, his father worked on that show and I was given an actual Have Gun, Will Travel - Call Paladin business card.

Cool.  Do you still have the card?

The Lone Ranger was a good one.

I wish I did.  So many memorabilia things were lost in the year of our Lord 1966 in one of my quick moves from apartment to apartment early in my LACC days.  I really wish I had some of that stuff back - 8mm home movies, lots of life ephemera.

DR Singdaw,

I know most dogs are very frightened of thunder and lightning.

Also my dog is afraid of bicycles, and when the garage door is operating.

I'll have to post a picture of Sadie.

She is the sweetest dog in the world.

We rescued her from a pound center for maternity dogs.

She is part beagle and Jack Russel Terrier.  She mostly looks beagle.

My favorite type of dog.

Of course as children, we have all at one time or another tried to catch frogs. As adults, we have likely even kissed a few. However, it is not common knowledge that hanging around frogs during meal time can should be avoided as they are messy eaters.

I love that old HMV logo. In fact, HMV are moving back into the original store where they started from in Oxford Street, London, where I used to send time browsing in the early '60s during my lunch hours when I first started work near Oxford Street.

Nice pic.

Spider webs can be a work of art and if you come across them try not to disturb as it might be feeding time for this insect, and you certainly don't want his food to escape.

Thanks for all the chuckles.

The sky has darkened and it's about to rain here.  It is ungodly(ly) muggy, so perhaps that will help to lower the humidity.

On the other hand, it's supposed to rain on and off all evening, which would cancel tonight's show.  I just hope that if it's cancelled, it's done so before I shlep the keyboard, etc., out to the "tent" and set up.

Early, or no, cancellation vibes!!!

Know the feeling from all the things that went missing during our various moves.

I am home from Joshie's rehearsal.  He's done a very nice job with THE CRADLE WILL ROCK, which will never be a score that I like.

DR Jane,

What other men characters did you have a crush on back in your youth?

Actors or characters.  I had a major one on Bill Bixby in anything he did.  He wasn't in a tv western series and I should stick to those.

I had a crush on Rowdy Yates on RAWHIDE but never never on Clint Eastwood.

I had so many crushes it is hard to remember them all.  I will try.
Guy Williams-ZORROW
Robert Horton-WAGON TRAIN
Fess Parker-DAVY CROCKETT, not so much a crush as simply in love with him.

In the very cute category was Ty Hardin of BRONCO

Watching re-runs of THE RIFLEMAN I'm surprised I didn't have one on Johnny Crawford.

While not a crush, then and now Clint Walker was simply beautiful to watch.

My last major crush of a western tv actor was probably Pete Duel in ALIAS SMITH & JONES. I was rather devastated when he died.  He should have been Byron in WINDS OF WAR.

While previously mentioned I must mention again, as it was such a huge one, my crush on Peter Brown. :)

Speaking of nature walks.....
I peaked at the Junco nest today and found two little eggs.  I found this photo of a similiar nest on the internet.  I think the green tint is more of a reflection from the bush as other photos showed the eggs white.  Since ours too have the green tint I liked this pic.

On the way out the door this morning, I saw my super. The annoying neighbor above me has been awfully quiet for the past month.  Well, he's moved out!  I hope the next tenant has a regular 8-5 job and likes to settle in between 10 and 11pm.

UPS just delivered my new Nook.  I'm not sure how long it will take for me to get it up and running. I hope it will not require another 2 hour phone call.

Darn, I have to fully charge it first.  I thought since it arrived at 40 something % it would work if I kept it plugged in.  I'm up to 55% so I hope it won't take more than an hour.  Less would be better.  I do hope this is a quick set-up.

BK,

I'm hoping you used the three questions from Python's Holy Grail:
1. What is your name?
2. What is your quest?
3. What is the airspeed of an unladen swallow?

Since adding the three questions to the captcha, not a registration in sight.  If that continues to work, I may put the captcha back to medium hard, because I really don't know how anyone could figure it out, save for the spam bots who do nothing all day but find out how to get around these things.  My hope with the three questions is that it will make their little spam bot heads explode like Scanners.

If a real person cannot do it then I would change it to medium hard. It is very frustrating to try to fill in the letters and have it constantly be wrong.
