I got mine back in January and it was a little less than $200. It's great! It can play any region for both DVD and Blu-ray! It's a Toshiba, so it's a known brand.

For some of the technical reasons listed in the booklet, I am not sure that you need to upgrade to the blu-ray.....for Robinson Crusoe on Mars.....

We are relaxing in our room after a smooth train ride from Normal, a wild walk with the hockey fans from Union Station, a quick lunch, and a trip to McCormick Place to finalize my conference registration and purchase an exhibit hall pass for Richard. In about 90 minutes we'll make our way a few blocks north to the University of Michigan School of Information (Library Science to me) alumni reception. Hope their repast suffices for our dinner...

I heard tickets for that in Dallas are selling for $300 to $500. It's part of the San Antonio Broadway series. But Wicked isn't. Go figure.

My books returned, well one did easily and the other I just needed to access my Barnes and Noble library and download it again.

With a bit of work I remembered how to download my Overdrive (public library) and get that working again. I tested I could download a book to be sure it was ok.

Do you not keep all your books on your nook? I don't take mine off. Just move them to a read folder on my kindle.

Most of the books I read are from the public library & they are returned to the library. I move the Barnes & Noble books off my home page but can access & download them again any time I want.

The wish list is for books I want to purchase in the future. Once I purchase a book it should go away from the wish list. For some reason those 5 books are still in my wish list. Originally, before the darn shut down & reset they had me do I went from only 2 of those books to a very annoying 5. No one has any idea why this has happened.

Does your Kindle have a wish list? I love having a quick list to purchase from when I need a book.

With my Nook working properly I no longer consider switching to the iPad mini. I might though if the quality of the mini reader improves as the big problem with the Nook is the tablet part is just ok.

Do you only have a tablet now not the regular ereader?

My 7" Nook HD is a tablet. I like having a tablet vs just an eReader. I can go to Goodreads and look up books.

It sounds like fun. I didn't realize schools had alumni groups there. Do you know how many do this?

That is hotter than here. Our thermostat is currently reading 89 degrees. We have the air conditioner on. What a difference from a couple of days ago when I was complaining about the cold.

In my CD player: Judy Kuhn's "All This Happiness"* and right after that will be the original Broadway cast recording of "Kinky Boots."

In my Blu-ray/DVD player: Season 1 of "Smash." I know I have a couple of other things, but I don't remember what they are.

*I just noticed that at the end of the booklet for "All This Happiness," there's an ad for "Passion" on PS Classics, but it shows the original picture with Melissa Errico. Guess that CD was released before the finalizing of "Passion."

You're lucky. I have no air conditioner. And the kind of apartment (condo) that I have makes it not really possible to have one. Ever since I got my operable skylight, things have been fairly comfortable when it gets really hot outside.

My mother couldn't tolerate heat so we had them in our house, one in their bedroom and one in the kitchen. At the time I didn't know anyone else with air conditioning.

Very busy today!

Went to Bon Ton with hubby and made several purchases. They had a great coupon deal that we could not pass up.
Then on to Lowe's and home depot to look at paint chips.

Then on to Steinmart where I purchased some really cut animal print cigarette (skinnny Jeans.)
I never tried them on. When I got home I tried them on and they fit great.

Also purchased a beautiful Calvin Klein Black Cocktail dress at Bon Ton. It is gorgeous. It is black with lace on the top and back, sort of a sheath style. That's my favorite style.

We will be attending a wedding in August. Perfect. Also our 30th Wedding Anniversay is in Sept so I
may wear it then out to dinner.
