Did you read my posts!

Whoops - sorry; missed your N.O. reference. I just remember someone telling me once that because it was such a large annual conference, there were only a limited number of places that could accommodate it.

Thanks for the list, DR Jane. It looks like they indeed cycle through a shorter list of venues that can handle such numbers.

Some people can carry it off, and some (like me) really can't.       :)

I'm watching the PBS show about the Annie revival on Broadway.

For those who have watched - who is the Mrs. Hannigan who is shown briefly when they show the performance clip near the end of the documentary? It didn't look like Jane Lynch to me.

I tried to record the show last night but for some reason my PBS station has not been working all day. It is very odd. The screen is black and it says "we are having difficulties". IT's odd it's been this way since last night.

I wish the dates and locations for the ALA conferences went back farther.  I'm pretty sure it was in L.A. in January of 1994.  I can't imagine why else all those people from Keith's office would have been there.  We stayed at a nice hotel in downtown which was a novelty for me.  I had dinner one night at the hotel with everyone and one night Keith took them all to El Cholo's on Western Avenue.

I would guess it's Kate Finneran, who originated the role in the revival.

Well, I've been at work for the last few hours and it's time for me to leave.  I'm going to my sister's for some homemade cinnamon rolls! :D

And then a little later tonight, I'm going to see a world premiere play called, "The Abolitionist's Wife."  I've heard that it's very good.

Until later!

That's ok, it got me to look it up as well.  Keith traveled so much I couldn't always remember why he was in a location.  I'm lucky he retired when Craig went off to college and I got to keep Keith home.  On the downside I was free to travel more with him just as the trips stopped.

On the rare occasions I did get to travel with Keith we used his air miles for the flight & my hotel accommodations were of course free.  It was rare that I got to tag along for business dinners and a real treat for me, especially when the dinners were at top restaurants in New Orleans-YUM!!!!!

I was amazed in New Orleans at the numbers of librarians, and their families, I met everywhere I went.  It also made me feel very safe roaming on my own as I did.

Finished the Lloyd documentary - will do some busy work now, then maybe do a second jog when it's cooler.  Aside from the omelet this morning (which after the jog only netted out to under two hundred calories, I've just been eating cheese and crackers, some chocolate licorice, one Skinny Cow ice cream cone - and still under eight hundred calories.

Today we saw the tour of "Sister Act." When we got back to the car, the thermometer read 122F. It went down, though, before I got a photo of it.

That's it, DR KevinH!  Thank you. I hadn't followed closely enough to realize that Jane Lynch was a replacement after the opening.

Waiting to see Howard Crabtree's When Pigs Fly. Car thermometer read 113 when I got in. Thank goodness the AC in this theater works.

the tour of "Sister Act."

How did the actress do with "The Life I Never Led?"  I never tire of watching Beth Malone's version from bk's "Two's Company" event some years back:
