Well, you've read the notes, the notes were happy and rang in the month of July, and now it is time for you to post until the happy July cows come home.

I was going to post this last night, but I couldn't figure out my own password to my own Photobucket account.  I noticed that the HHW Photobucket account is 13% filled.  Still a LOT of room, but evidently, there is a limit.  When/if we reach that point, I think it would be much easier to just create a new account than to pay for more space. ;) We'll cross that bridge when it happens.  Anyway, Here's what I was going to post last night (a little less than an hour ago)...it's a picture of one of my alarm clocks up in my bedroom:

That's WITH my skylight open. :P There is a slight breeze, so it's actually bearable.

Did I miss it? I thought bk was going to talk about June's posting statistics in today's notes.

The making of the new Pippin cast album:

It looks like the American Idol style of singing is now de rigueur on Broadway.     :-\

Good morning, all!

I am off to Toyland to work on a Jerome Moross Ballet Ballad; "Susanna and the Elders," I believe. I have nothing else to report at the moment.

I was not crazy about THE PIANO; once was more than enough.

DR ryacko, I'm sorry I missed last night's time machine!  I have a list and here are a few:
1903 Any Ricard, Bessie Wynn, William Norris: BABES IN TOYLAND
1917 LEAVE IT TO JANE (no stars, but itis oe of my favorite Jerome Kern scores!)
1925 Helen Ford, William Norris: DEAREST ENEMY
1927 Charles Winninger, Edna Mae Oliver: SHOW BOAT
1930 Ethel Merman, Ginger Rogers: GIRL CRAZY
1934 Ethel Merman, William Gxton, Victor Moore: ANYTHING GOES
1935 Todd Duncan: PORGY & BESS
1935 Mary Boland: JUBILEE
1938 Walter Huston: KNICKERBOCKER HOLIDAY
1941 Gertrude Lawrence: LADY IN THE DARK
1946 John Raitt: CAROUSEL
1949 Carol Channng: GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES
1956 Barbara Cook: CANDIDE
1959 Elaine Stritch: GOLDILOCKS
1969 Madeleine Kahn: PROMENADE

Most moving film: AU REVOIR, LES ENFANTS

Good morning, all.

Cool vibes for all. And additional vibes for DR Danise.

I think I'd rather be asleep still than thinking about work.

TOD:

I'm sure there are many I can't think of at the moment, but one that comes to mind is Robin and Marian.

And though it's not a movie, the tape of "Sunday in the Park with George" always reduces me to a puddle.

It's too darn hot.

Too hot to be outside yesterday, even in Ventura.

"Ordinary People" always causes me to sob for 15 minutes afterward. No particular reason. My mom is not anything like that!

Went to hear the Ventura Jazz Orchestra Saturday night.  All music from the 40's.
The Ventura Dance Club was there, great dancers, all in their 70's.
And did they have fun. FUN.  :) :)

TOD (part 2):

Saving Private Ryan
Schindler's List

And not a film, but the final ("finale") track of the cast album of The Secret Garden always makes me tear up, too.
