Nor I.  But that's a great one.  I'm already thinking about who I should send it on to.

Well soon I'll be off to Larkinville.  It is an area in downtown Buffalo.  They have free concerts every Wednesday.  I'll be going with my friend Sandra and then will meet many others.

I pray the weather cooperates!

I just submitted the final invoice for the ROBERTA music preparation and we came in about $3,000 under budget. I was really afraid we were going over, so I am quite relieved.

Congrats, Larry!

I just happen to be listening to a recording of GIRL CRAZY that has some Elmore credits on it.

Ooooh . . . the dish there! Some people on that recording were, and may still be for all I know, swine, and one singer was really, really, really dumb.

I got completely screwed on my editorial credit . . . and then sacked from the project in a Big Power Play. The events of 1990 still work my last nerve.

That said, there are many good things about that recording. I loved Frank Gorshin.

Speaking of Frank Gorshin...in 2005, he came to Olympia and performed the one-man show, "Say Goodnight, Gracie," written by Rupert Holmes.  The house was almost sold out (it holds 988!) and he was very good.

DR RLP my friend or his father may have been at Fort Ben around the time you were...or maybe not.  Charles Goad.....

Oh Em Gee.   Chuck Goad was in my broadcasting class.  He returned for another course when I was there as an instructor.

OMG!

I vividly remember one of his broadcasting assignments....he put drawings made by his mother's elementary school students to the music of Joni Mitchell.  It was amazing.

This is so funny.  I have done so many shows with Chuck.  He is a great guy.  He does theatre but also went to school to be a chef and he works at the local Second Helpings - an organization that feeds homeless people with leftover food from the kitchens of local restaurants and not prepared food - but donations.....like a food pantry.

Wasn't the song Bachelor Bill used In The Creature Wasn't Nice originally written for Sailors?

Was Paramount originally going to release Sailors if it was filmed?

I liked him in everything except his performance as Oscar Jaffee in "On the 20th Century." His voice was nowhere near the range that the score demanded.

Re: DR Kate's BK Question of the day:

I currently have subscriptions to FILMFAX, CLASSIC IMAGES, and FILMS OF THE GOLDEN AGE magazines.

I let my subscription to FILMFARE lapse, as they seemed to interview the same Bollywood celebrities over and over again. I do miss reading it and knowing about all of the upcoming releases, however, so I might have to resubscribe at some future point...even though it is rather pricey!

Good morning everyone.

It's hot and muggy here also.

Off to work, off for the 4th of July, not off on Friday.  Oh well.

 ;)

It isn't easy to change a holiday with 4th in the name to the 5th for a four day weekend.
