I'm not feeling 100% that's for sure.  Maybe tomorrow.  Throat isn't really scratchy so much - but really annoying.

My question for ASK BK day....since we can also ask other Dear Reader's.....where were you born.....and where do you live now....and how many states have you lived in in between?

Mine is easy:  Indiana.

Southern California
New Jersey
Massachusetts
Pennsylvania
Michigan
Connecticut
Northern California (it felt like a different state from So. Cal)
Oregon

And I currently subscribe to Food & Wine and Bon Appetit, though one of those could be running out soon. And I'm in no rush to re-up.

Oh, yeah, and the Sondheim Review.

Well I think we have our color for our accent wall in the kitchen.  Segovia Red, by Benjamin Moore.

I saw it in House Beautiful several months ago.

It is just elegant and beautiful.

After we have completed our painting projects, I'll try to post the pictures.  However, first I will have to learn how. ( AKA Adriana)

I looked the color up and you describe it very well.  I have found it best to paint a strip to see if I like it, or to paint a very large sheet of paper and tape that to the wall ;)

DR George do you like UNDER THE DOME?  I'm not sure how much longer we will continue watching it.

I certainly don't love it, but I liked this last episode a little more than the first episode.  I'll watch it for a while and probably end up seeing the whole thing, since it's a limited series.

;)

Well, since it is a limited series maybe we will stick with it.  I hope limited means they wrap up the story.

Took delivery of a Blu-ray import today (US to UK) and got caught for Customs charges, which seems to happen more frequently nowadays. Charges are based not just on the cost of the item but also on the amount of international postage. International postal charges from the US are high enough but having a Customs charge of about $18 on top of everything else makes it prohibitively expensive to import many DVDs/CDs etc from the US to the UK.

That is high!

One Mother's Day my mother was visiting family on the Isle of Man and I sent her a little mother's day necklace.  I made the mistake of insuring it.  She said the tax was more than the necklace & postage combined.

Yikes and Yikes! :o I've never had to pay a Customs charge from anywhere...yet.

Fortunately Craig didn't when he lived in Romania.  He did have to open everything at the post office so he would give the person a bag of candy or one of the treats we sent in our boxes of goodies.

Yes - my parents made me memorize it in case we were ever separated.     :)

5445 Eau Claire Drive
Palos Verdes Estates (now, I believe, Rancho Palos Verdes).

If we had still been living there when I went to high school, Tracy Austin would have been a classmate.

My first ever Trader Joe's (ca-1983) was just down the hill from P.V., in the "Hollywood Riviera".  I checked when out there last fall, and that store is alive and well.

From the sound of it, those must have been some severely impacted wisdom teeth requiring some, er, rough surgery!  I'll bet she's glad to be where she is now!

Amazed at all the places our DRs have lived!

I think I needed to get around more!

There are also advantages to not having moved around.
