FARCE ISN'T EASY

Well, you've read the notes, the notes weren't easy and were a farce, and now it is time for you to post until the farcical cows come home.

Loved "Noises Off" by Peter Blakemore....saw it in New York with a wonderful cast...Dorothy Loudon, Victor Garber, etc.
Very well done....most of the audience had tears of laughter rolling down their faces.

Hey, DR George!
I keep meaning to tell you that they are bringing back "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"
New episodes start next week on July 16th on the CW.
No Drew Carey, but the rest of the brilliant guys will be back.

Temperature reached 93F yesterday. Today I'm travelling to Yorkshire in the north of the country to visit my brother for a few days.

A lot of great video clips posted yesterday.

I am listening to the Mexican cast recording of Gypsy. The character of Mervyn Goldstone became Don Eduardo or Donny to his friends

Good morning, all! I have been having a difficult time getting onto HHW after reading this morning's notes, but here I am.

DR JohnG, belated 80th birthday greetings to your ma. I wish that my family had thrown a big bash for my dad when he turned 80; we only had five more years with him after that.

Today, I believe I will continue to clean up my storage space in the apartment, walk around the neighborhood, and maybe begin the BBC series "The Grand."

I see that it was Cheyenne Jackson Birthday last Friday.

This is for people who are interested in Cheyenne more than his Birthday.

One of the best things about doing the movie yesterday was watching the DP work.  He is from New York City and has quite a few credits, although I can't say I've seen any of the stuff he shot.  The camera had a harness and he mostly worked with it on his shoulder or chest.  The production assistants would change the lenses or get him new batteries or cards - which I assume meant they were shooting digitally.  For one shot, he was sitting in the church pew in front of me, so I could watch through the viewfinder.  The director had a little portable tablet that she could attach to the camera and watch the scene being shot....it was most interesting.

His name is Eric Branco.  There was also a very nice production assistant named Jonathon who helped him a lot and talked to us explaining what was happening.  There was also another LOUD MOUTHED assistant who barked orders at us all day.....

My camera battery of course was low....so I only got one picture of the camera equipment and one of the Jonathon and Michael the Executive Producer, but I will post those when I download them.

Here's a photo of my friend Katherine who was also there with her husband & children to take part in the shoot.
