Facebook is horrifying today.  I'm staying away and I recommend everyone just post here instead.  Whatever one feels or doesn't feel, no one of us was in that courtroom, saw the evidence, heard the testimony or know what the courts excluded from being presented.  What we know was presented to us by the media.  And I think you know what I think about the media.  That's all I'm saying about THAT.

J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, is revealed to be the author of crime novel The Cuckoo's Calling, recently published as the work of first-time author "Robert Galbraith."

Have we reached the lazy, crazy, hazy days of summer?

I am watching THE IMMORTALS but it is very difficult because the dialog is so LOW in the mix, if I turn up my system to hear what they are saying....when an action sequence begins it is just TOO DAMNED LOUD....waking the dog and shaking the walls....I have tried all of the settings on my surround system, and it is the same on all of them....

I haven't jogged because I had to do the Facebook event page for the Kritzerland show - I hate Facebook in that regard because to invite people one has to check each and every name in your friends list, which, in my case, is close to 3,000 names.  I don't obviously check all three thousand names (about three hundred), but the list is now not alphabetical in any way so one has to go through it all - it takes a bloody hour.

You used to be able to make a sub-list, like a Kritzerland show list and then check "select all" - not any more.

I'm watching the first season of MAJOR CRIMES, since I missed the first two episodes last year while I was in Dublin. I watched the first two and decided to continue until I got bored. I'm now on Disc2.

I'm taking a break and pondering lunch, and I see that it's almost dinner time. Forget about lunch!

Hey, DR George!
I keep meaning to tell you that they are bringing back "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"
New episodes start next week on July 16th on the CW.
No Drew Carey, but the rest of the brilliant guys will be back.

I love them!!  Thanks for letting me know, Iris!  I just set my DVR to record the series. :D

I was also pondering a trip to Staples, but I realized I had several good storage boxes at Toyland that I can cart home. I think I'm going to prepare a shipment ofscores and personal items to the Miami University Library. I didn't send anything last year.

I hope Cillaliz is staying away from Facebook, where exactly what you'd imagine happening is happening.  People I know are actually unfriending people if they haven't posted outrage on their timeline.  What is wrong with people?

;D

I'm not saying anything.  Maybe I should to reduce my number of friends ;)

Okay, what the heck happened??  I posted my last post right after Elmore posted a post, but my post shows a time stamp BEFORE his previous post! ??? How can that be?

I've never seen anything like that happen.

Just had to share.

One of the best things about doing the movie yesterday was watching the DP work.  He is from New York City and has quite a few credits, although I can't say I've seen any of the stuff he shot.  The camera had a harness and he mostly worked with it on his shoulder or chest.  The production assistants would change the lenses or get him new batteries or cards - which I assume meant they were shooting digitally.  For one shot, he was sitting in the church pew in front of me, so I could watch through the viewfinder.  The director had a little portable tablet that she could attach to the camera and watch the scene being shot....it was most interesting.

His name is Eric Branco.  There was also a very nice production assistant named Jonathon who helped him a lot and talked to us explaining what was happening.  There was also another LOUD MOUTHED assistant who barked orders at us all day.....

My camera battery of course was low....so I only got one picture of the camera equipment and one of the Jonathon and Michael the Executive Producer, but I will post those when I download them.

Here's a photo of my friend Katherine who was also there with her husband & children to take part in the shoot.

That's a great picture, Jrand!

BK, have posted a few things on Facebook.  If I get unfriended, that's fine.

I've never unfriended someone because of their posts.  I just go on to the next post, if it's something that I don't care for.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion.  For the most part, none of my friends have strong opinions that are very different than mine. ;)
