Well, you've read the notes, the notes were cuckoo and crazy, and now it is time for you to post until the cuckoo cows come home.

Great song, BK...and the video clip, too!

So I'm confused about these "signed" first editions of the Cuckoo novel...       Are they signed "Robert Galbraith," but in Rowling's handwriting?

Good morning, all! I'm back to "Roberta" dreams; last night it was "Lovely To Look At" mashed up with "Kiss Me Kate." Oy!

I have a run to Toyland this morning to meet one of my New York cast, Tally Sessions, hand him a vocal score, talk about the character, and then head back uptown before the heat gets back to the 90s. ('m hoping to be home by noon at the latest.

That's a good question. If she really wanted to disguise who she was she may have had someone else sign the books. A masculine writing

Good morning, all.

The rain has kicked up some lovey mold. So, it's back to sneezing. Hope the pill kicks in quick.

The topic of the day is a difficult one.  There are many books I've loved, many I've loathed, but I cannot think of any that I would call "life-changers" except for "Charmed Circle," a book I read about 35 years ago. The Stein family's horrible treatment of Alice Toklas after Gertrude's death was my first encounter with the necessity of recognized gay partnerships, a small step perhaps in my political consciousness, which seems to have developed primarily from the 60s folksong movement, but a huge step in my humanitarian thinking.

It's supposed to get to 96 degrees today. If Tally arrives at 10:30, I should be out of Toyland by 11:15 at the latest.

It's Tuesday-- and only barely Tuesday at that. And yet, here we are.  That makes us much sense as I can muster when I'm not quite awake yet.

DR Jane re: the facebook privacy thing did you go into your privacy settings?  And then check what others can see?  When I do that it shows others can see only the things I've shared as public.  The posts on your page seem to be "friends only". So that should be okay.  What specific things do you think others can see?  You can email me and i'll try to figure it out with you (although I won't be home till later tonight).

Greetings from Toyland! I will study my ROBERTA scores until Tally gets here, then pack up and go home.

I am very excited for THE DRIVER.  There's so much that can be said about that film.  But especially, what BK said about 70s films in general... I am still growing to admire that decade more and more

BTW, when I watched WHEN A STRANGER CALLS last year for my first time in many years, one thing I thrilled to was the downtown L.A. settings.  Very similar, and I believe it even features the same bar used in THE DRIVER.

Speaking of drivers, I'm driving up to Poughkeepsie again today.  Not to pick my feet -- just to pick up some movies being held for me.
