And on a happier note (E-natural)...Ellen DeGeneres Announces She’ll Host Next Year’s Oscars!

Does the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences know about this?

I think I would rather see Hugh Jackman and Neil Patrick Harris host together

Who the hell wouldn't?? :D

You know, I always have to laugh when people start telling me about registrations and people joining.  The fact is, almost no new people join this site and when they do it is very easy for me to tell if they're real - we just had someone last week.  But these spammers must be stopped and if it takes asking a question someone has to write in about then that's what it takes.  That way I know they're real and that's that.  I'll leave it as it is but if one more gets through then I'll make it so that no spammer can EVER get through with a registration.  Much as I would love it, we don't have people clamoring to join the board, it's that simple.  Maybe one or two a year.

Why are New Yorkers rubbing nightingale poop on their faces and not cockatoo poop? J.B. has let me down again.

John, if you decide to try J.B. poop on your face, please don't post the video.

I promise you I won't.

Back from a community production of "Spamalot." The show has its moments, but overall the material is really second rate. But the production was good. They had some excellent women dancers in the chorus and the diva had a voice that really was a knock out. I think the rest of the elements will gel nicely over the month-long run, but even that won't be able to hide deficits in the material.

I hope word-of-mouth is good because there were problems with the air conditioning, which I wish on no theater when its 105 degrees outside and people are looking for cold escape.

I came home to discover that a friend of mine had placed three lobsters in my refrigerator. :)

The local seafood purveyor was having Lobster Mania. It was supposed to run Thursday through tomorrow with each lobster selling for $6.95 no matter the weight. They sold 3,000 yesterday as they said they were going to, and they had planned on selling 3,000 today, too. But it was such a madhouse that they sold every last lobster in the place, 9,000 total, including the 5,000 they had planned on selling tomorrow. Customers are hurt, but there will be more lobsters next week.

In the meantime, I have a little afternoon snack waiting for me tomorrow.

Hello. I think this is the latest (or earliest) I've ever posted.  I fell aslepp at about 8:30 and woke up at about 12:45.  Watching Burns and Allen.  I have to say Gracie Allen was one of a kind!

I don't know about you but I'd like a hot fudge sundae, some chocolate cream pie, some coconut cream pie and a lime rickey.  However, instead I just had a fifty calorie cheese slice.  Not quite the same.
