RE: Today's song - love it, and love the rendition.
DR Laura - glad that you found a bug.
DRs elmore3003 and Doug R - thanks for the great photos!
DR Jennifer - you do know that you can adjust the font size on the Kindle, right? That was one of the main selling points, for me.

I am always getting "Li'l Abner" confused with "Li'l Wayne"...

It's a sad day for BBC 2 Sunday listeners because

David Jacobs is retiring

He's been at the BBC since 1945. I've listened to his show on Sunday evenings since the BBC started streaming.

If somebody's ribs are delayed in the kitchen, will the waiters sing "I'm past my prime..."   :D

Nice pictures, DR Doug R!  Was it a good trip?

Yes I liked Bucharest DR ChasSmith. The Romanian people are extremely friendly and polite people.

This is a story in Today's SC paper about the ordeal that my cat sitter, Sharon, has been through.  She is the most amazing person I know.  No matter what she's been through, she is happy smiling and upbeat. She really inspires me

Thanks!  Yes, Dad was the first lawyer in the family, then me, then my brother.  He owned a clothing store and did some other things before law school

Been a crazy couple of days and I haven't had a moment to catch up with yesterday's posts. Among the many stops was a visit to one of the Half-Price Books in town. I don't understand their pricing at all. They had a fairly pristine copy of Robert Kimball's Cole for $2, a new copy of Michael Feinstein's book about the Gershwins with CD for $10 and Ethan Morddan's book about operetta for $15. ?????

But I also found a CD of Strouse and Adams singing their score for All-American at a backers audition.

And a few other treasures I hope I can make the time to read.

And a sobering one about your friend the cat sitter.  Whew.

Neat! My dad wanted Macbeth to consider law but after he flunked out of school twice (thrice?), Dad gave up.

I'm up, I'm up - this happens every time we do a show - I cannot fall asleep the night before and thus it was last night - I think I finally fell asleep a little after four and slept straight through to eleven so maybe that's six and a half hours tops - not enough, but hopefully I'll be fine by show time both vocally and in terms of being peppy.

Thanks for the comments about the articles.  While I know the article about Sharon is scary, she has never been down about it. We talked for 2 1/2 hours Friday night and she is so upbeat, funny and happy to be alive that you can't help but be inspired by her

Unfortunately she'll never be able to give Callie her meds.  She says to wait until she gets her arm to see, but I know she won't be able to do it. Callie makes it too difficult.  So in the future I'll board Callie and have her feed Ricky and Boo when I'm out of town

I don't know if you remember me posting photos of Annalene's baby Harry last year when everyne on the recording fell in love with him. He's now nearly two, just home from hospital, and looking great.  He won't be coming to Dublin this year.
