It has been an ugly day here.  Checking the revised air quality posting, as of yesterday we are experiencing "unhealthy" air quality.

Oh and she's only 7 so I would have been sad if she had been faster. :)

It sounds like she will be by the time she is 8 ;)

She has decided that she wants to take winter swim team. Our summer pool is very focused on the winter swim team members. And those kids are amazingly good (there are about 4 girls who are 8 years old this year - next year they will be in the 9-10 but my niece will be 8 and under).

She has her try-out next week.

Sorry to hear about Karen Black. She was hysterically funny in "Nashville."

Well, I didn't win Powerball. But then, I never bought a ticket.

That is great about fitting into your pants BK.

I've had the same problem. I am super active in the summer. But hate exercising indoors in the winter. I need to be a lot better this winter.

I feel so much better now after being active all summer.  I have a bunch of really small pants i want to fit into too.  Tried on one pair of shorts that were too tight at the beginning of the summer. They fit now but are a bit snug. They'll probably be perfect in a month when summer weather is over. :)

Hello, everyone.

Add me to the list of those losing weight and wanting to lose more. It's so much harder as you get older. When I was in my thirties if I gained even three pounds I'd cut back on my eating a bit and viola! it was gone. Not so now. Sigh.

The last time I saw Bruce he'd already lost quite a bit. For a moment I thought he was going to moon me in the restaurant. And people can be sooo uptight!

And she said this with her eyes crossed.

Salt Lake... Salt Lake! This is Columbia 409! It's Nancy Pryor... stewardess. Something hit us! All the flight crew is dead or badly injured! There's no one left to fly the plane! Help us! Oh my God, help us!

Did a three-mile jog, picked up no packages, went to the lunch meeting, which turned out to be another senior moment for me - the lunch meeting is NEXT Thursday!  But since I was at the restaurant I just ate there - mostaciolli and meat balls - fair.

And I'm happy to say we're finally fully cast for the September anniversary show, at least the core cast - we're waiting to hear from the three potential guest stars.  Our core cast is pretty terrific, though: Dan Callaway, Kay Cole, Joshua Finkel, Jane Noseworthy and Valerie Perri.  I've only got one or two songs left to choose.

Just finished Murder at the Gallop, the last of the four Margaret Rutherford movies as Miss Marple. What a wonderful series. And in this one, she managed to ride a horse. That poor animal.

Better next Thursday than last Thursday!  I've ushered a few times where people didn't look at their tickets which were for the night or the week before.  They were usually not happy.

Finally watching At Long Last Love at long last.  I saw it opening day back in 1975 - we'd already made Nudie Musical and were worried about another musical being out there - within ten minutes I knew there was no worry whatsoever as I was watching one of the most horrifyingly bad movies ever.  Over the years suddenly it became kind of a thing with people most of whom hadn't seen it at all but were suddenly proclaiming it misunderstood and great Bogdanovich.  Well, I'm forty-five minutes in and it's still one of the worst movies ever made - charmless, leaden, and horribly unmusical, which is kind of deadly for a - musical.  This is some fan edit of the picture that Bogdanovich approves of (he admits his original cut didn't really work) and that people say make it all wonderful.  No.  It's simply a different edit of the same dreadful material.

I had only gone once, probably around 20 years ago.  At the time, my memory is that I'd had one of the best burgers that I'd ever had...but I never went back.  I don't know why.  I'd read that it burned down not too long ago.
