Listening to the new master.  Sounds great, actually.  The previous CD wasn't really to my liking - it had a lot of extra fake reverb added in order to give the sound a "spread."  But the original recording had very nice room ambience and the extra stuff just made the music sound washy.  That's all gone now and the sound is much tighter and more focused and we've actually got some low end, which is lovely.  I'll give you a hint: Film is one of my favorites, it's from my favorite year in film, and this film became an Outside the Box musical. :)

Ginny, did you get one of the coffeemakers that use K-Cups?   I had 88 rewards dollars at Sears after buying my washer and dryer, so I used them and got a Cuisinart coffeemaker.  I think I'm really going to like it

Today I went to my hometown and spoke to the Rotary Club about immigration.  Then I spent the afternoon with my parents.  They have discovered thrift store shopping so that's where we went.  Then I installed a regular wall phone for mom - they keep unplugging their phones when they think it might storm and then can't figure out why they don't hold a charge, lol.  This way at least one will always work.   I also got dad back online. We went out for dinner and I came home.  It was a very nice day

Wednesday I went to the dentist.  She wants to go way below the gum line to do the new crown.  There will be pain.  I told her that I didn't have any intention of being in pain during my vacation.  She agreed and just put the old crown in.  She told me when I'm ready to have it done right to call her and she'll do the whole thing over free of charge.   I can live with that

I guess Wednesday was yesterday, lol.  Last night I went to dinner with a friend at the local country club.  It's only a few blocks from my house.  Anyway, the food was good, but overpriced.  My friend wants me to join for dining, but they want way too much money to do it and their monthly minimum is more than I like to spend eating out in an average month. So...I'm not going to do it

Back from a bourbon dinner with some really good food. Thankfully small portions (but substantial enough to offset the alcohol) so I don't think I overdid it.

But one of the cocktails was made with a house-made barbecue bitters, which I'll have to remember for the book.

Sorry you didn't enjoy "At Long Last Love," bk. I came to the movie years after having played the soundtrack to death. I love the music, no matter who's singing it, so maybe that's why I'm willing to overlook its flaws.
