Watching "56 Up." I love this series.

I've always been meaning to watch these.

I wonder if the folks who dropped out along the way ever regret it? It can't be easy to expose your life like that to a mass audience.

Made a cherry-berry pie today. Only had one pie crust sheet, so I had to roll it out really thin and use the scraps to make the sloppy latticework. Bing cherries-raspberries-cranberries.

I doubt it. Some found it more invasive than others. What is interesting is that one or two dropped out of one segment and then came back again.

Of course, DR George, it might be a good idea not to serve these in your own home.  Someone else's home, maybe.    :)

But of course! ;)

Today is Car Day--again. I had the transmission rebuilt less than two years ago and I suspect that either something was wrong with the work or one of the parts were faulty. I'll probably never know, but I do hope that today's (expensive) repair will fix the problem. Of course, it's no longer under warranty. This garage guarantees the work for two years, not just one.

Since I'm sans wheels I took this opportunity to catch up on laundry. I'm stuck at home anyway, right?

Larry, I've been enjoying the Dublin posts. I'm glad you found some kind and helpful people at the airport and then got a good night's sleep. My recent ankle injury reminded me how unkind the world can be when you're not fully ambulatory.

TOD

(pointing to DR John G.)   I'll have whatever he's having.

 ;D

That sounds like a good plan.  Or whatever E&T DR JoseSPiano is having.

DR Jose has a VERY WIDE culinary repertoire. Too wide for me, thank you. But, Singdaw, please help yourself.

Don't know how accurate this is but

How Old Are Your Ears?

Interesting test. I did it with just the laptop speakers. It said that my ears are no younger than the rest of me.

On the lighter side, the 16 New Jersey co-workers who won the lottery together who call themselves Ocean's 16 seem like a nice group of people.

I read that many had damage due to Hurricane Sandy. I'm pleased it went to a group of people who can really use the help.

Long day of work at home that included the bird losing control and attacking me. Not happy with that. He's in his cage and it's covered. Time out for birdy.

Not good at all! Hope you weren't hurt and it doesn't happen again.

Today I ordered Season 1 of RIPCORD. Look forward to seeing Allison Hayes' episode (titled PARA-NURSE) clearly...rather than the blurry gray market one that I have.

And as for the rest of the episodes...well, Larry Pennell is easy on the eyes.

Still haven't jogged, but will in about a half hour - then I must watch a motion picture and perhaps write some liner notes.

Back from the library. I thought the version of the mini-series "Parade's End" that I requested was going to be the new one with Benedict Cumberbatch. Turns out to be an old one with a very young Judi Dench. I saw that for sale at Costco last week and almost bought it.
