Thanks Ginny!   Movie night is one of my favorite things.  Perhaps I'll take a couple photos tonight and show you what it looks like.

That looks like a dog to me. Do I need to get my eyes checked?

I slept for an hour. Now I'm only about eleven hours behind. And groggy.

George, do you have a source--book, tape, etc--that you can go to for accent help?

I love Russian accents. I'd love to have one.

LOL.

And Sing is back! David, I meant is Zack with you in Connecticut? Although I'm glad he's with you in the other sense, as well.

I am not sure that I would know (as DR George does, apparently) how to differentiate between a British and an Australian accent.

Yep, Zach is here with me. When I move for good, I'll drive him out to the Midwest.

You know, I was thinking of the word "froggy" when I typed "groggy." Great minds, I guess.

As for the sleep, thank you, but I really need better housing. It's here--it's just very expensive.

Long, sound sleep is wasted on the young! We take it for granted until it is not such a sure thing.

I use one of those small "white noise" machines. And the phone in the bedroom NEVER has the ringer turned on!

Well, there are some differences, but it's difficult (for me, at least) to describe them, even if I can hear them. For instance, the way Australians say AusTRALians. There's more emphasis on the second syllable and it sounds different, too. If anyone can put this coherently, please do!

Absolutely. When I was young I could sleep through anything.

Your idea of an aid of some sort is a great one, DR Jeanne. I'm sure there are many out there. Probably even downloadable mp3s.

An accent aid, not a sleeping aid.     :)

I haven't tried the white noise machines, although I do sometimes turn on the fan to create white noise. Unfortunately, I don't like the noise of the fan, either.

I've always been terrified to try a sleeping aid. I mean, I know some of them SAY they are not habit forming, but I just don't believe it.

When you get accustomed to the white noise, to go without it - well, the silence then seems deafening!
