Pitiful Penniless Bums is on right now.  I like this version a lot more than the one on the cast album, which is much slower, not to mention the vocals!

Good morning, all,

Just popping in to wish you all a wonderful holiday weekend. For me, I'm in two days of endless tech...so, no rest for the wicked.

BK, I want to wish you a wonderful run-through today for your anniversary show (assuming you are keeping to your usual schedule). No doubt it will be something truly special and I hate that I can't even see it. Much success and joy with it all!

DR Vixmom, were snap shots taken of your costumed outing?

the only one in my possession is that "selfie" from Vixter's cell phone that I posted yesterday however based on the  number of cells phones that were pointed in our direction I suspect we grace  several Facebook pages  or vine thingies today

Jrand - If Harvey needs a theme song, I was saving this for Harvey Weinstein but he never called.  :)

Tune of ROXIE

The reason everybody flips
Will always be – Harvey
The fellow giving acting tips
Is gonna be – Harvey

You’re gonna see such humility
And how he does it – nobody knows
Is it his brains, experience,
Or is it just his taste in shows

From just some nothing kind of guy
He got to be – Harvey!
Who says that commerce ain’t an art?
And who's the star of this shebang
In this most photogenic gang’
It’s Harvey
Harvey’s smart!

Harvey may be smart  but our Freddie is very  clever!!

Well done!

Back from being coifed by Teddy - he was very gabby today so I heard all about his dinner last night with Raquel Welch and his upcoming dinner and disco evening tonight with Jackie Collins.

I think I'll go have some scrambled eggs and an English muffin - then after rehearsal I can have something fun.

Well, last night was the opening night of the Pellegrino's Italian Kitchen dinner theater production of "Hollywood Who Done It"!  We had a great opening night!  The audience enjoyed it and the food was actually pretty good (we got fed, too...for free...WITH dessert)! :D I didn't mess up any lines and I made my scene and costume changes without trouble.  Overall, a good time was had by all.

I am so glad things went so well last night-was it the kind of theatre where you all intereact with the patrons  or  was it  more a show they watch as you perform?

Thanks, Vixmom!  It was a fully scripted, non-interactive play.  There is an emcee for the pre-show and intermission, but not the show, itself.

Another thing that was really cool was that the bartender, who will work the pre-show and intermission for the whole run created drinks for all the characters!  I actually had TWO drinks named after my characters...the Kershaw Cosmo and the Maxwell Mudslide.  However, my acting partner, Guy, didn't have any drink named for his characters, so I suggested to the bartender that she change "Maxwell Mudslide" to "Matthews Mudslide," to be fair.  She said she tried to make sure that everyone had a drink and would change the menu for the rest of the run.  She just has to make the change on her computer and reprint the menu.  Easy as pie!  I had the soon-to-be-named Matthews Mudslide and it was good.  I thought that it needed a little more chocolate and less alcohol, but that's just me. ;)

That  was very nice a s well, and considerate of you  to be sure Guy had a drink named after his character as well

Yes, I am nice and considerate.

Hello, gentle Dear Readers!

I am back, and caught up with all the posts and notes - thanks to all of you for the well-PC wishes. The old PC is still in hospital; prognosis unknown. But it was a great incentive to get the new PC, which thank my lucky stars was already sitting here in waiting, up and running. There is still a lot of transfer work to be done, if it turns out that it will be possible, eventually.

The breakdown of my home PC just happened to coincide with my office being moved to a different part of the building, hence my long absence from HHW. Glad to see all of your friendly faces once again.

Congrats on DR George's opening night.  It's quite an honor to have a drink named after you, even if it is you character in a play.

Thanks, Matthew!

Well, I must be going.  I have to take a shower and go to work for a few hours to make up some time, then it's off to the theater again.  I don't know if anything will happen after tonight's show.  We'll see.  Last night, a couple in the show (who are married in real life) invited everyone to their place afterward, but I wanted to just go home, so I didn't go.  Next time, I will.

Anyway, be back later!
