If you need to slow down and become more calm and relaxed, put on this in the background:

Dont' know if anyone reads him regularly but Michael Riedel's link has changed. The NY Post has gotten a makeover and old links to MR's column no longer work. Here is the up to date link

Michael Riedel

Thank you, Ben.

Am in a motel in Marshall, TX, which is further than I thought it would be. Driving in 103-degree heat is not fun.

Did anyone catch this week's HOT IN CLEVELAND? Along with regulars Betty White and Georgia Engel, it had guest stars Mary Tyler-Moore, Valerie Harper, and Cloris Leachman. I tell you it was the funniest half hour I have spent in a long, long time!

Cloris Leachman, in particular, was an absolute riot...and this is coming from someone who was never a Cloris Leachman fan!

I'm looking forward to seeing that one.

I cannot believe what have just seen - once again my cc has been compromised - unbelievable.  A charge to Ikea of Great Britain for just under one thousand bucks, and a 1.17 charge to somewhere in Louisiana.  Luckily on the Ikea the cretins used an incorrect billing address so that charge, while it showed up, probably won't go through.  The money is already back in my account, the card is shut down, this is now going to wreak havoc with all my online bill-paying until I get the new card and then I have to reset every one of those things - horrible and basically to whomever did this, I wish you nothing but a slow, painful, and immediate death.

After what happened to me yesterday, I hope this is not contagious.

DP Kismet is better. Still on the meds and special food. I told he could go play with other dogs today but keep an eye out for him.

That must be tough, Mike; being away from Kismet when he is not well.  MY thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery.

Lamps Plus!  The name just clicked.  I still have a lamp from there that I bought for my Redondo Beach apartment in 1982.  And I'm amazed, but happy, to see the store is still there, too, at Hawthorne Blvd. and 190th St. in Torrance.

Thanks, DR ChasSmith!  I've sent a link to the lamp we like from there to the local (Dayton) retailer who's been looking for lamps for us.

Nice lamp.  And if you don't like them, after you get them, you can always sell them to the Emmy Award Broadcast as a back-up award.

A little better, I guess.  Thank you for asking, John.  Now I have the added emotional distress of whether or not to attend my high school reunion tomorrow evening,

I believe several here have had recent cc compromises.  It's bad.

Am loving this chance to see Pacific Overtures. I had always thought Someone in a Tree was masterful, but the emotion, when you add the visuals to it, makes the impact even greater. And the lion dance is overwhelming.

I just checked and the bank dropped the disputed $1,200 charge. And in two days. I can breathe a little easier.

Did a three-mile jog, planked and did thirty sit-ups.  I think I should probably eat a little something, so off I go to Gelson's - maybe some melon balls.

Good evening.  It's been quite a week.  It's hotter than hell here and that makes me ill (literally) on top of that I've had a stomach and head ache for a couple days.  Today Edith was arguing or making snide comments about everything I said.  I have no idea why, but I did not have the patience for it and was quite annoyed.   I stayed home and missed a party tonight.  I wanted to go, but I'm just barely starting to feel better and it was an outside party.

Happy Friday, and Happier Weekend to everyone!

I mostly wanted to catch up with all of the well wishers that I missed saying thank you to this week. You've been so kind wishing me the best for tomorrow night's opening and for the previews this week. So, THANK YOU to anyone I missed, and again, to those I didn't miss.

Today: Last rehearsal. Tonight: Last preview, and... more importantly, the last set of faux notes from the inept excuse of a director. He is gone after tomorrow night!!  :D Were it not for the artistic director and some very determined actors, this piece would have no life whatsoever.

I will most likely be missing here for the entire weekend, what with opening night tomorrow, and two shows on Sunday, followed by the long drive home.

So, I thank you all in advance for all of your good wishes.

Cheers! And someone please take a nap for me this weekend.   :D

Break a leg vibes tomorrow night to DR ryacko and company!

And I will take (two 2) naps for you!

Got a little crab salad thing from the Gelson's Deli - not even three ounces.  And some cucumber salad from their little Japanese section.
