I will be the oligarch of the day.  You don't get to disagree with this decision, because it comes from me, the Oligarch.  (I get to capitalize now, because I've claimed the title.)

Good morning all.  I hope you enjoy living in the Raianiemi Oligarchy for as long as it lasts.  Which is bedtime, later today.

Ah, so you're the one who grabbed DR Cillaliz's crown when it fell off last night.

No one writes musicals about Oligarchs anymore.

Too hard to rhyme.       :)

I am back from Florida, where we celebrated my Dad's birthday, I enjoyed some excellent food (mostly at home with Mom and dad), played cards a lot,  and celebrated the Jewish holiday as well of course.

Yet "oligarchy" is easy to rhyme.  Funny quirk of the language.

There was a Poltergeist in my mailbox yesterday!

Yes, hurray for signed booklets!

Today is a banking and shopping day, since I didn't go yesterday.  Perhaps I will find some bargains.

Good Vibes on a Tuesday (which kind of sounds like the title of a movie in the 60's-  with , oh I don't know......Barbara Hershey, Skye Aubrey and maybe Abby Dalton.)

I couldn't think of any child's star yesterday morning and by the time I got home I totally forgot about posting a list. The choices yesterday were pretty good.

BUT

There are exceptions, but most of the child stars mention only had one good film in their cannon.

I would like to add Haley Joel Osmet who was cute in Forest Gump but really carried the movie in The Sixth Sense.

As for today

I don't have a favorite John Ford film. I know he made a lot western and shot them in Monument Valley.

Ditto for Claudette Colbert. I can name two of her films. One that I've seen, but it's not a favorite.

As for Henry Fonda

I admire his role in Once Upon a Time in the West. Where he played a cold blooded killer. Very against type.
A lot of his other roles he did (that I've seen) for me he was Henry Fonda up on the screen rather than the character. He was also very good in ON GOLDEN POND, which I am sure other people will name

THANK YOU ALL DEAR READERS

For all your good wishes for Kismet. He has tons of energy when we go out for our walks and he has great appetite when I give him his special food twice a day.

I will speak with the Vet on Thursday when I take him back for a checkup on Thursday to see what caused this.

Tuesday morning greetings!  Yesterday was busy, busy, busy, getting ready for and then presiding over the first AAUW Middletown general meeting of the 2013-14 program year.  Potluck dinner was yummy, as usual, and the business meeting and program went according to plan.  Madame President was exhausted last night!

Today I have to make an appearance at the book sale site, where they're moving in our tables and some of the books that have been stored in various garages.  Then, I'll proceed to Dayton for my monthly lunch with the grantwriters.

Claudette Colbert: MAID OF SALEM (1937)

Henry Fonda: THE LADY EVE (1941), YOUR, MINE, AND OURS (1968).
