Beverley's show is on live right now.

Beverley's World of Music

Click on Listen Live, a new window will open and you can listen. As I said, I don't know when I'll be on but if you're so inclined, let it play in the background and have a listen.

Looking for good apple recipes, especially for apples that may still be a titch green.   I had to pick a  lot of apples yesterday so the poor little tree didn't break - some are ripe, but some are still pretty sour.  I'm thinking about making a big batch of apple sauce.  I'm assuming I can freeze homemade apple sauce....or do you have to can it?
'

I like apple crisp. Or just baking sliced apples with a little brown sugar on top.

DR Cillaliz,

I also loved Fried Green Tomatoes.  In fact I do have the DVD.  I watched it several years ago.

I now want to see it again. I will try to watch it this week!

DR cillaliz, apple pie!  Still the greatest thing ever!

My mother, in her saner days, made great pie crust and her apple pies were something special.  After she went off the deep end, she stopped cooking, but my childhood memories of her desserts - doughnuts, cookies, pastries, pies, puddings, popcorn balls every Halloween - are something I cherish. By the time I was in high school her unhappiness had taken over, and she was never the same.

Bruce just left, and it was a wonderful visit.  He's such a good friend, and I got to show him my ROBERTA and DEAREST ENEMY session photos and catch up on all the dish.

Had some bacon and eggs and will just have an artichoke later at The Federal.  I'll jog in a couple of hours.

I do love apple pie and know you can freeze it. I'm not a pie baker......but I'm going to try to do an apple pie. I could probably do a dozen apple pies

I just came from a lovely party with lots of friends and family. There was (vegan) cake and lots of amazing food and presents. It couldn't happen yesterday, but it was nice to celebrate today.

I am ready for a nap. But it's really too late in the afternoon for a nap now.

Thanks Singdaw....I may have that one.....if not I'll get it.   I'm going to try pie and just found out you can freeze apple sauce.  I love applesauce and have the freezer space, so I may do a big pot of that

OMG I love this. It's a perfect fit for me and math. I HATE math. It was my worst subject in school (I take that back, due to a fascistic, mean, arrogant ex-marine son-of-a-bitch phys ed teacher I hated gym even more than math).

I agree, DR Ben!

I do hate to admit it, but I still occasionally use my rusty algebra to solve real-world problems with practical solutions. But other than that, fie on math.      :)

I saw Lifeboat last night on TCM.

The way Alfred Hitchcock appeared in the movie was very clever.  Has anyone seen this movie and know  where he is?

It has been awhile and I don't remember.

Tequila plum tarts are in the oven.

I hope there is a photo of these after they are baked, or is this it?

And you didn't receive a notice you posted too quickly?  I just had that happen between my 1st & 2nds posts on page 3.  And again just now while trying to post on this quote.

When I attempt to re-post it says I already posted.
