I have to say, that in her prime I loved Miss Streisand.  Those first albums are masterpieces of production, arrangements and I find her performances beautiful in the drama or comedy.  Later, in the mid-70s things got a little too "studied" for me, but hearing those early albums for the first time was like discovering gold and hearing something very radical in terms of interpretation.  And her performance in the film of Funny Girl is just great.

Oh, did you buy a set or each sheet separately?  If not a set you might be able to get a larger top sheet if yours is too small.  I have found not all sheets, even though they say they have extra big pockets, fit.  Good luck.

Best of all, I went to the mail place and hallelujah the replacement credit card was there, along with one package.

You are having a very good day :)

I agree with bk, any single track from those first 3 Streisand albums is pretty amazing.

I bought a set of sheets - washing now, as bed should be here by five-thirty.  I pulled all the sheets and mattress protector off the old mattress - you can see what poor shape its in and it's kind of hard as a rock, too.  I think there have been rather big advances in the last decade in terms of design.

Priscilla, Queen of the Desert was the most bizarre thing I've seen in a long time. Lots of fun, though.

DR Priscilla, unless the building has restrictions you are the boss and can take a dog to work with you if you want ;)

You could take a dog with you to visit your parents and get their cats used to the dog.

I loved having dogs growing up, but I've really grown to prefer cats.

I've always loved cats.  We had dogs, if you call Poodles dogs, and I loved them.  I still say I'm a cat person which surprises people when they see me with dogs, especially Bernese Mountain Dogs.

LOL  We had two and both were neurotic, smart and wonderful and I loved them.  I prefer big dogs I can sleep on top of.

I'm off to the Heights.  I'm hoping for a great show after I BEAT the cast up during a vocal brush before the show tonight.  The "Blackout" song was a hot mess last night.  They're going to need a little refresher... heh heh heh....

But my concerns were misplaced -  it was very well done, not at all obtrusive and  oh my  I was surprised by all the animals in the background I never noticed before such as  toucans and peacocks

The audience  at the showing we went to (9:10 PM) was mostly adults -  the audience was respectful and polite   no texting or phones ringing or chatting or other nonsense  but great reactions to the movie  laughing  gasps etc  and the whole audience  broke into spontaneous applause when it ended.

I am so glad we went.  Thank you Ben for mentioning it - we would not have known about it otherwise

I woke up early and  decided to  drive into the city and try for a rush ticket to Pippin -   I got to the theatre about 6:15 AM and was  about 30th on line so I was concerned about my chances - but I ended up with the last available matinee ticket #20

Since the trip was  spontaneous I hadn't arranged to meet anyone.  After I bought my ticket  I discovered my cell battery had gone flat so I wasn't able tomake any  calls

Bed arrived.  When they took the old mattress and box spring out the carpet under the bed was riddled with dust and dirt, so I got out the vacuum cleaner and got that all clean and tidy.  The new bed is significantly higher - I'll get used to it, I suppose, but it was actually a little shocking when I saw it in the room.  Put the new sheets on and it's ready for my sleep later.  Really glad I got the new sheets because the old California King sheets would not have fit on this bed - not even close.
