I wonder how Japanese Karaoke differs from other types of Karaoke?  Or is it just a Japanese restaurant that also happens to have Karaoke?

I'm not sure.  Keith did it in Japan-be back in a sec.

Craig is actually going to a Korean Karaoke bar which is similar to a Japanese one.  Keith said there are private rooms so Craig will just be with his group of 12 friends.

We left for the gym and never made it there....

I held my breath until I read the rest of your post, DR Jane.  The last time I started a story like that it ended up in the ER and 3 days in the hospital for Richard!

Sorry.  I hesitate about my wording and should have taken the time to change it.

Keith's new desk with his new smaller monitor.  The new computer is so small it fits inside the cabinet, which looks like a drawer, on the bottom right of the desk.

His old monitor is on top of the filing cabinet, which looks like a dresser, and he is using both monitors.

Not the best photo and you can't see the filing cabinet very well.  It looks like the desk.

Everything is so neat & tidy!  Not like my desk, nor Richard's...

I lo-o-o-ove the coffee flavored NIPS!  Be careful, though, because they can stick to your teeth and pull out crowns and fillings.  Learned that the hard way...

Until today I didn't know there was any other flavor except coffee.  My mother would buy them.  As much as I love coffee candy I don't care for Nips.  I think the coffee flavor is too strong for me.

ROTFLOL and the complete opposite of my desk.  His desk always looks that good.

Above his old desk was a huge bookcase.  I don't think he has put even half of the books up here.  I'm not sure where we have room for the leftover books.  Some sorting of unwanted books throughout the house needs to be done. :(

I was wrong.  There are only 19 books, that I counted, leftover along with 10 drawers from his old desk.  They are all sitting in the guest room to be put away sometime before Keith's cousin comes for a visit.

Well, I took a nap after I got home and it's calmed me down. The morning was an ordeal in futility. I got to the bus stop, waited forever before a 104 bus showed up and it was packed. So, i thought I'd wait for the next, which didn't come, so I had to get a taxi to make my flu shot in time, That was $8.00 out of my pocket because the traffic at 72nd and Broadway is impossible. I got the shot, and I decided to walk over two blocks and pick up my monthly meds and the hell began.

When i was last there on Sept 17, they charged me $60 for the flexerill, since my HMO had not approved it as a prescription. I got home, cleared it that problem with calls to my HMO and my doctor, got the approval, and I should be getting a credit of $55.00. Well, the pharmacy hasn't given me the credit yet. Today's meds cost me $65.00, because my eye drops for glaucoma, cost $35.00 after the copay. That took nearly all of my cash, and I have to go back to the pharmacy tomorrow with my $60 receipt to get my $55 credit. While i was standing there, my legs gave out. I was so frustrated over the fact that I have to go back tomorrow with the damned receipt to get the credit and the fact that I could no longer stand that I left my mystery novel on the counter, was unable to walk to a bus stop and had to take another taxi, which cost me $10 because all of the construction on Amsterdam Avenue. There's nothing worse than sitting in a taxi going nowhere watching the metro steal your money.

I am so depressed: I haven't worked in the past month since i got back from Dublin.  I have no money, no work offers, and the frustration of being confined pretty much to the area in which I live is killing me. I know the physical therapy is working but it;s working slower than my patience would like, and I hate it.  The icing on the cake would be if I came dan with a mild case of the flu from today's shot.

Got the iPhone all set up - one e-mail account was giving me problems, so we deleted it and set it up again and it's fine now.

My new book, LIFE, LIBERTY & THE PURSUIT OF HOLLYWOOD: More of My Wacky Adventures in Tinseltown, has just been published by BearManor Media and is now available at Amazon.

Here's the link to the book trailer, which you will (hopefully) find amusing:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDTiqUIBBuI

This 2nd memoir contains stories about all of the people pictured in the trailer and more.

PLUS, there are stories about somebody whose initials are "B.K.".

I wonder who that could be.

 ::)

Congrats to you, Druxy!  I'll order this, too.

Jane, does the computer have enough air circulation when it's inside the cabinet?  They can heat up and need enough ventilation so that they don't overheat.

I am kind of down today but I think that is because I woke up at 4:00am and am tired, but most of all because today is Craig's 34th birthday and I haven't seen him since January and don't know when we will get to see him.

There was a small plate in the back Keith took off to let air in.  The new computer is also much, much cooler than your typical computer.  I will have to ask Keith if all seems fine.

I'm out on Long Island until sometime on Sunday. The basement looks great. The treadmill is now close enough to the computer that I can turn it on and stream something while I'm walking instead of reading old magazines. That will make the time pass faster.

Congratulations to our 2 authors.

DR Ben, we have 3 authors! I'm adding  our very own BK, whose Kritzerland trilogy is high on my list of favorite books, and whose facility leaves my intentions of writing something in the dust.  One of these days I'll do that BABES IN TOYLAND history and HHW will have 3.5 authors!
