And I'll add JohnG to our list of esteemed authors.  Who's next to go down the author road.  I encourage everyone to try it - it's really a singular experience just to even try.

I wish Keith would.  He is a very talented writer and has been told countless times he should write a book.  He would rather do genealogy.

Elaine Stritch alarm clock:

:D I could actually make a ringtone from that and put it on my phone, since I use my cell phone as my alarm clock!

While I like Google, I HATE, HATE, HATE those stupid interactive "doodles" There have been 2 recent special doodles, today is one of them for Google's 15th anniversary. All they do is slow down my internet searching to a crawl. I changed my home page from google.com to mozilla.com and my internet is now working like it's supposed to work!

Congratulations to our 2 authors.

DR Ben, we have 3 authors!

DR elmore3003 - I think DR Ben just meant to congratulate the two HHW authors who announced new books out today.

Yes, that was my intention. No slight intended to anyone, Larry or Bruce or others. It was just a today reference.

DRBen, I know! I'm being cantankerous today!

TOD

DVD - we just finished the movie ONCE, which was adapted into the musical we saw in New York last year.  I liked the stage version better.

Well, I must go.  We just got a notice over the PA system:  "Access to the web will be going down in five minutes."  So, now I get to put some files into file drawers, then eventually go home.

Be back later. :)

George's library is indeed famous tonight.  They appeared on all of the local newscasts, but I never saw George.  Oh well, there is still the 10:00 O'clock News on Channel 13!

Makes ya wonder how we ever did library stuff before the Internet...

Both the library where I worked and our local public library have had computer downtimes recently.  Is it an epidemic?

My new book, LIFE, LIBERTY & THE PURSUIT OF HOLLYWOOD: More of My Wacky Adventures in Tinseltown, has just been published by BearManor Media and is now available at Amazon.

Here's the link to the book trailer, which you will (hopefully) find amusing:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDTiqUIBBuI

This 2nd memoir contains stories about all of the people pictured in the trailer and more.

PLUS, there are stories about somebody whose initials are "B.K.".

I wonder who that could be.

Very nice.

From DR Chas:
Quote
I like flannel sheets just about any time.  But of course more in the cold seasons.

I used to feel that way until I discovered super soft, high quality, cotton sheets.  Now I'm spoiled.

I hate flannel sheets.  They make me feel like i am in the middle of a pajama sandwich!

DR TCB, following up on your comment last night about Wildwood, NJ, I'm sure if our friend Andrea got that close she definitely would pop over to Manhattan to visit DR Elmore.  The Wildwood where she was yesterday is a golf & swim club not far from our house.  It's also the name of the neighborhood where Richard bought a house before he and I were married and where we lived until Rob was almost 3.

I've been having my own back problems.   Yesterday it got so bad I couldn't move without a stabbing pain in my lower back.  So I made an appointment with a young chiropractor.   She did a couple tests and gave me an adjustment and the pain was almost completely gone.  One Aleve and I was feeling pretty good.  I'm still ok today.  I may need one more adjustment next week, but I am amazed at the difference
