Glad to hear that DR TCB's speechifying was well received.  I am sure he received generous applesauce.

I did actually ending up getting some nice applesauce; although the program was not really keyed that way.  When I got to the end of my speech / reminiscence, I announced, "That since I have finsihed talking about this old institution, now lets talk about the other old institution in town -- Sharry O"Hare.  After the roar of laughter ended, we did a little of our usual banter, and then I asked her husband, Micheal, to wheel me up the aisle.  At that point, the applesauce started.  It was very nice.

That doesn't really explain it very well.  I was introducing Sharry, who closed the entertainment portion of the evening with "I'M STILL HERE."

We got some applesauce tonight, too.  Two big jars that Mary Linda made from apples grown by her parents in Michigan.

Kismet bought us a wonderful gift for our first year together. 2013 Nissan Sentra SV. And the great thing about it is that I get to drive it all the time. He was embarrassed to be seen driving around in my old car!

Kismet has good taste in cars.

Back from a ham and Swiss and no onion rings or french fries.

BK, when you go out for a sandwich with no onion rings or French fries, why don't you have a salad with your sandwich?

DR TCB salad dressing can be high in calories.  I would go for fruit if a side comes with a sandwich, otherwise what is wrong with just a sandwich?

Have had a very busy day getting lots of errands and chores done that I haven't felt like doing over the past week or two. I also practiced my flute and did laundry.  So far so good on my back. I'm very lucky that there wasn't anything seriously wrong with my back.  I may go in tomorrow for a follow-up but, so far so good

Bob planned to start moving things into his office this weekend.  I considered going down to take a new print I got on Saturday, but decided against it. He has the keys and I want him to have that time alone in the space.  I've always liked to sit all alone in a space before I'm actually moved in just to get the feel of it and imagine myself there.  Don't know if he does that, I kind of doubt it, but decided to give him the space just in case

TCB, the dinner salad at Jerry's is boring, so a waste of calories (dressing) for me.  I do get cole slaw with the sandwich, though.

Didn't jog today - am feeling guilty but the day got away from me.  I suppose I could go do a quick one now, but I've eaten little beyond the sandwich so I'm okay calorie-wise.

From the website....this made me chuckle

Quote
Even as she worked alongside Richard to build Kimmel Orchard, Laurine continued to perfect her painting and gained national recognition for her series of water color paintings titled, “American Architecture,” depicting old outhouses.

My wifi is going on and off, probably because of the storm.  So if I leave suddenly you will know why.

Oh, just read that the Arbor Mansion has been closed due to the state budget.  It will be interesting to see what Fiona does to fill in the time we would have spent there.  She's fantastic at planning these events, so I'm sure she'll have a great back up plan.  It will be in the 80s and sunny that day so, whatever it is, I'm sure it will be pleasant

All these years on this site, and no one ever told me that BK had an orchard.
