Visual proof of the get together last night.

Sorry TCB, no food (as I warned earlier). Just the diner in the background

Okay, I guess it will have to do.  Besides you have a diner and a 7/11 in the background.

Just got a very nice phone call and if all goes as planned, I will be having lunch with my first Bollywood actor!

Aman Dhaliwal is in the US visiting friends in Seattle and he and a buddy will be coming through town as they drive to Sacramento tomorrow (a very long trip!). I recently interviewed Aman for www.pedrotheapebomb.wordpress.com. which is how we know each other.

Mikey, is there a Bollywood version of ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW or maybe GONE WITH THE WIND?

THE ROCKY HOROR SHO was a "re-imagined" version that was really kind of lame.  The exception was a few of the performers. (I spelled it that way to discourage merry searchers).

RiffRaff, Magenta, Columbia, Eddie, and Dr Scott were outstanding, and the band was great!!!  I kind of thought we were in trouble when "Science Fiction Double Feature" was sung by Phantoms coming out of graves instead of Magenta in an usher's outfit...  I then I KNEW we were in trouble when one of said phantoms sang:  "Janet Scott" and "try-fids....."

Choreography (or lack thereof) was my biggest disappointment.  The set was great, but we had a LOT of missed light and sound cues...

Fun to see....but a lot of missed opportunities....and I might have switched the actors who played Frank and Brad....

Interesting.  Theater Artists Olympia is going to have a fund raiser November 1st so that we can put on "The Rocky Horror Show."  Pug, the director, also has a concept for the show.  It's been done in Olympia several times by a couple of the bigger local theater groups and she doesn't like to repeat anything.  Since she really wants to do the show, she's come up with an idea to make it different, but hopefully will still bring in the audience...hopefully.  Actually, every production has practically sold out, so as long as we can raise the money to actually put on the show, we should do quite well...hopefully. ::)

;D

What is the idea for the show?

Just wanted to let you know, there was a mile wide tornado to the east of Sioux City and a 1/2 mile wide tornado to the west of Sioux City at the same time. We spent quite a while in the basement, but it didn't hit here and we are ok.  Others near here weren't as lucky.

Oh my gosh, Cilla, thank God you and the cats are okay.

We are supposed to have a nice weekend, weather-wise, but the guy on the local news warned us that this would probably be the last one.

Personally, I think we will still have more nice days.  Maybe not a whole weekend, but some nice weather days before winter arrives.

I had lunch today with one of my former co-workers.  He is, at least, ten years younger than me, but he is starting to look older than me.  Both he and his wife have a great many health problems.  No anything fatal, but trouble with walking and with back problems.  She takes more Vicodin in one day than I take in a week.  And his doctor passed right over the Vicodin and put him on Oxy.

I have had a terrible time this week keeping track of what is the day of the we.  I keep several calendars handy, but you know how it is when you know the actual day is, but it feels like a different day.

Yesterday was Monday all day, and I couldn'g t wrap my head around it being Thursday.  So, of course, if yesterday was Monday; it stands to reason that today was Sunday.

It's really really windy outside.

Lots of accidents on the way home today.  Trucks falling over, cars hitting telephone poles, etc.  Stupid stuff like that.

Well, I must be leaving.  It's our official opening night of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe."  I'm sure that we'll have a good audience.  Last night's run-through went quite well, so they will enjoy it. :)

Until later!

We had a good show with a good audience.  No major mistakes and a good time was had by all.  Tomorrow and Sunday, we have 1:00 pm matinees, then we're done until next Thursday.

Yikes!!  I can't imagine being in that situation, let alone living in a place with tornadoes.
