I watched some of SNL last night.

Miley Cirus hosted.

I didn't think the sketches were that funny,  but I really do think she is talented.

If only she could control herself and her tongue!!!!!

Saw Kinky Boots and Cinderella yesterday.  Enjoyed both, but was surprised at the changes made to Cinderella. As Ben mentioned the other day, the TV version was short so they had to expand it for Broadway.  But loved the singing of Laura Osnes and the wonderful Rebecca Luker!

DR Kevin H, my phone did not ring! I'm sorry I missed your call. Unfortunately, at the moment, since I cannot walk far or support myself well when my legs give out, I'm not going farther than physical therapy.

I just got a call from our E&T DR edisaurus, who's here with her DOC POMUS documentary, and I just had to turn her down as well.

I can't say I wasn't invited!

Just came back from biking around the lake. I thought that there would not be too many people since it is chilly, windy and supposed to rain. But it was packed.  It was really too windy for me to bike anywhere else though (the wind is so much better there). Thankfully the wind pushed me home. It is almost always stronger in that direction. But it was so great today!

Enjoyed seeing DR George's acquisition of the BK record with the enigmatic inscription last night.  Love finding that kind of thing.

That got me curious about FIRST NUDIE MUSICAL, so I did an all-category search on that title, and it looks like the soundtrack album appeared under two - no, I think three, at least - record jacket designs.  Fascinating!  Are all of those legit?  Which was the first?  Or the best?  And dig that T-shirt!  And that VHS tape case...     :)

Larry, I haven't seen CITY OF VICE, but there's a series of novels by Bruce Alexander about Sir John Fielding, which is quite good. BLIND JUSTICE (Sir John was blind) is the first of the series. Highly recommended.

I have no news except that I must call the manager to get the plumber out here. I detest this plumber. He never fixes anything the first time, requiring repeated calls, never at a time convenient to me--only to him. Is there a way to express in a post the gesture of rubbing one's fingers together to say "cheap"?

I stopped reading the Bruce Alexander series because I found that his American spellings and occasional syntax removed my credulity that the narrator lived in Georgian London. I'm currently reading Deryn Lakes' John Rawlings mysteries, which all have Sir John Fielding as a major character, and I really like them.  The first one is "Death in the Dark Walk," second is "Death at The Beggar's Opera."

I've almost finished watchng CITY OF VICE; I'm on the last episode.
