Well, you've read the notes, the notes had unseemly heat, and now it is time for you to post until the unseemly cows come home.

Sunday morning greetings!  There are only 2 ways for me to be the first post after BK - either be in Europe or have insomnia.  I'd rather be in Europe...

Fortunately, I don't have to be up 90 minutes from now to go to Lima.  I'm staying in town today to do the Middfest thing again.  Don't have to be there until about 11, thank goodness.

I finished watching the first season of HELL ON WHEELS last night.

I enjoyed it.  It's a well done show.  And, it's a Western!

Good morning, all.

Had a nice case of insomnia last night.  I think I got maybe three hours of halfway decent sleep, but that came with weird dreams of no particular interest or redeeming social value.  Very strange, and annoying.

However, I'm enjoying this also strange dark morning of a constant, soothing, gentle rain - which actually started late last night.  Odd that it didn't help me sleep better.  But this is quite pleasant, and I do not complain.

Good morning, again.  Finally went to sleep about 5am, but had to get up before 9.  That makes a pretty short night.

After living in L.A. for some years, I spent a year and a half in the Chicago area then moved back to L.A. for a few more years.  It was the very beginning of October ('87) that I was back there, and I remember my surprise at how hot it still got then, partly because we'd just gotten into a lovely fall season in the Midwest.  And I was on the "less hot" side of the hill, not in the Valley.  It's funny how you recall certain moments -- I was taking a lunch hour and went out for a walk (we were in the "Earthquake" buildings on Wilshire, across from the Wiltern), and right then and there I re-learned the feel of that October heat.

I just had a good laugh while looking at yesterday's posts. I see a picture of doggie desserts. And then the next post says, "I love those!"  The second post was referring to something else. But my eyes connected to the two.

Good morning, all!  Another bad night of sleep, but I am bathed, dressed, and on my first cup of coffee. Perhaps this means I will get some good sleeping tonight. I'm hoping!

After I watched the HOT IN CLEVELAND episodes, I began a BBC series CITY OF VICE, which is quite wonderful, about Henry Fielding, author of TOM JONES, and his half-brother John, who served as magistrates in London around 1755, and founded the London police force. The cast is quite wonderful.

DR Matthew, sounds as though your life is getting quite interesting!

DR Ginny, it's a gloomy rainy day here as well, but I hope that yours clears up by noon.

Oy and Vey - Sunday morning is here.  Good Morning.

Regular Sunday duties this morning, and this afternoon, I'm seeing my first amateur production of Les Miserables  When nothing shows up on Facebook about how awesome it is, I worry - and nothing has, so I'm thinking it's going to be a rough few hours.  I'm going to support people that I know who are working on the show.  Beyond that, I think I would rather be knitting, which I don't know how to do in the first place.

DR Matthew:

The only production of Les Mis that I saw was a high school one.

My friends daughter was in it, and I thought it was fantastic.
