My SIMPLY cd came yesterday and I have been enjoying it , Vixdad and I are sorry we missed the show- and it would have been a pleasant way to celebrate our anniversary but we never would have been able to be there on time unless we both took a couple of hours off of work and that simply wasn't a possibly for either of us

instead we took in a 8:30 showing of Gravity in 3D

The Vixter kindly picked up the tickets for us and they were waiting for us when we got home

Vixdad is a real space fan - and we both very much enjoyed the movie. The plot was different than I had imagined and I was on the edge of my seat for most of the show

I will be shocked if it does not win the Oscar for best special effects, I truly felt that they were in space

I will be directing Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart as an one night only reading. It will be a fundraiser for the "Worlds AIDS Museum and Education Center" that it is situated in Fort Lauderdale, FL. It will be presented on a Friday night in January to be determined. I am trying to get some out television/radio personalities to do the show with us in some cameo roles.

After a day of barbecuing, Bonnie and I went out for dinner. The thought of more meat was making us both rather ill, so we somehow ended up at an amazing Southern Indian restaurant. The smell alone made us hungry, and we were the only non-Indian people in the place. Had an onion dosa, followed by hard-boiled egg biryani. Bonnie had a vegetable korma that had a touch of coconut milk and plenty of spice. We were both very happy.

And speaking of the METROPOLITAN ROOM, I was there last night to catch Sandy Bainum's fantastic Ira Gershwin tribute show. Written and directed by Bruce Kimmel, this was a show to remember! Glorious arrangements by Lanny Meyers and incomparable vocals by Ms Bainum made this show a shining example of how great cabaret can be! I'll have a review on the website shortly.
