My friend Paul decided not to go to the matinee of The Sunshine Boys. He's exhausted too so I guess I won't see him till tomorrow evening's show.

BK--  I was glad you mentioned the time of the matinee tomorrow.  Hate to tell you but the Federal's website states  that the show starts at 4:30.

My niece is feeling so much better. I went over there earlier. She dressed up in her Halloween costume and knocked on every door in her house. I was standing on the other side handing out candy. I just took their leftover candy that they didn't hand out (a box of chocolate bars) and put a few in her bag at each stop. Then when her bag was full she emptied it back into my box and we started again. :)

I'm lucky to have the whole row to myself.    That was good so I wasn't so noticeable waving as we flew over Ohio.

Good morning!  I got up to get ready for my 9 am flight and saw that I had a text message from Alaska Airlines.  My flight has been delayed till 11:15 and I should arrive at LAX shortly after 2 pm.   There go my plans to meet my friend Paul at the Ahmanson for The Sunshine Boys at 2.  It was going to be a challenge to get there in time anyway.

I am surpised your delay wasn't longer than that.

It is a windy (but not rainy) day in the Pacific Northwet. Currently the sustained winds are only 18 mph, but we have had a gust, recently, of 51 mph.

I just watched the never aired Big Bang Pilot episode.

Wow, and not a good wow.

Unchanged, I think it would have tanked as fast as the new Ironsides.

Big Bang Unaired Pilot

Wow, they have all 14 episodes of FIREFLY!

Today is a work day....oh well.

I watched less than a minute of that un-aired pilot.  DR BEN is correct, not good.....I am glad they worked on the show....

That must have been the episode that all of the critics saw before the show aired.  The series got horrible reviews before the first season started, especially from TV Guide.

While making caramel corn, I've been switching among 3 Big Ten games.  The only one that's much of a contest is Illinois/Penn State on ESPN.  Ohio State is demolishing Purdue.

Sally Struthers has 73 stops on her HELLO, DOLLY! tour, with a lot of smaller venues.  In Washington and Oregon I only saw Spokane in WA, and Eugene in Oregon. The lastpage of the tour lists these stops.  Can that be correct?  Two stops in the same city?

I'm finding a similar thing with sleep -- there are certain "nights before" that have become a regular problem with regard to being relaxed enough either to fall asleep at all, or to do so in time to get a decent rest.  Such as:  (1) traveling the next day, or (2) anything that necessitates getting up abnormally early.  Both mind and body just fight it.  I've never tried sleeping aids, but have seriously considered it of late.

Those ZZZ Quil tablets really seem to help for occasional insomnia.  The liguid version, like its cold medicne brother, is something like 12% alcohol; but the tablets don't contain any alcohol.

Back from a three-mile jog and forty-five sit-ups, two poached eggs and an English muffin, banking, and picking up no packages.  I think I'll go sit on my couch like so much fish, turn on a movie and hopefully doze off for a few minutes.

It's been a while since we've seen the next step, Michael West's DOOR TO DOOR DOLLY, which is billed as being "for people who don't want to see it badly enough to actually leave home."

I must have printed out your post from a long-ago day when DRs were encouraged to post recipes.

With a valued helper's invaluable help, I just schlepped half a cord of firewood from the driveway, through the yard and around the house to the back deck, and stacked it on racks.  Now I must needs run some errands.  There are no naps for the wicked.

My goodness, page 3?  I need to dig into my vault of YouTube / Got Talent clips.  This group was fantastic in all of their routines, and they won this year's Britain's Got Talent.  But my favorite was their runner up routine which even made Simon cry.  They are called Attraction, and they are from Hungary, not Britain. I would love to meet the members of this group, they are amazing.
