When I got home tonight the cats acted like I'd been gone a month.  Sheesh!  they are very spoiled.  I come home almost every day for lunch and then come home after work.  Who knew being gone 10 hours would freak them out so badly

Nicky loves it when I watch TV in the recliner.  Then he can climb up on my lap.  I don't do it very often anymore, because I kind of get stuck in it.

Today we watched football together in the recliner.

Very nice sunset, Cillaliz!

The wind hit near 50 mph today.  Something blew across the deck at my brothers house and broke a big plate glass window.  It also knocked down a dead tree and blocked the road into my parents' neighborhood

:o Yikes!!  I hope that no one got hurt and that it gets cleaned up quickly!

Tonight I had Ricky above my head and Boo on my lap.  It's becoming a regular thing, lol

No one got hurt, but my brother was ushering at church at the time as my SIL was preparing for all the company this afternoon (doTerra and Pampered Chef parties).  She texted him to get home ASAP and he left in the middle of church.  He felt kind of bad about that, but they got the hole in the window (about 10 inches) boarded up and they'll get it fixed tomorrow.   I called the police non emergency number about the tree and they had it cleaned up in about 30 minutes.

It was a little hard to drive with the cross wind, but we get a lot of wind here, so I'm pretty used to it

Thanks George.  Mom took some of me with Dash, but she still uses film, so it will be a while until I see them.

I almost forgot that I have jury duty this week (Nov. 4-8)!  I just called and I don't have to go down to the courthouse tomorrow!  I'll still have to call every night after 6:00 pm to find out about the next day, but at least for tomorrow, I'm off the hook. :)

My jury duty was originally scheduled for last week, but with the kid's show just ending, and a dentist appointment, and especially the fund-raiser, I really was glad that I could delay it.  I could've chosen any week within two months of the original week.  I just chose this week because practically nothing is going on.

Is the vegan substitute any good?

It is not ideal. I think DR Jane probably has the better idea - just leave it off.

I've eaten too many samples of Craig's vegan cheese  :P ;D

So, a tofurkey and vegan cheese sandwich would not appeal to you?

Speaking of Tofurkey...a couple of months ago, I bought three Tofurkey brand vegan cheese pizzas for half price ($4 each instead of $8 - I figured half price wasn't a bad deal, unless I absolutely hated them).  They were no longer being carried by Fred Meyer.  Anyway, they had some kind of funky spice.  I don't know if it was supposed to be garlic or what, but it wasn't too good.  I put some real cheese on them for flavor, which helped a bit.  I won't buy it ever again. :P

I'd love to have jury duty.  Made it to the last cut once, but I'll never get picked

Well, I finally added up the money from TAO's "TAO of the Dead Carn-Evil" fund raiser.  Not yet taking out any amounts to be reimbursed (because I don't have any receipts), but we made a over $1,100!! :D That's a pretty good start for us to be able to put on The Rocky Horror Show

Back from two wonderful shows - hard to say which was my fave although the matinee was flawless in terms of flubs - the evening show had a few, but recovery was quick on that part of the singer and the audience loved the show.  More in the notes.

I don't remember exactly who sang what but the singers were all wonderful.  Richard Sherman accompanied himself on the piano and sang an obscure song called "Chimpanzoo" (I think), which was a lot of fun.

BK did a duet with the young girl who played Michael in the recent Peter Pan tour. They were a great team!
