Now, what's an anagram for Whiskeypalian?

I've known a few of those!

I learned that word from an Episcopalian. I still laugh when I hear it.

And I am home from physical therapy and a very miserable trip to the Walgreens at 95th and Broadway. I am also sick today of privileged stupid ass parents who take the seats reserved for the halt, lame and maimed with their precious progeny when there are plenty of other seats on the goddamned bus. I experienced this phenomenon on all four buses I had to ride today.

On more fun news, E&T DR PennyO is in Manhattan today and we will have lunch tomorrow.

Good morning, all!

TOD: Coca Cola and Hires Root Beer in bottles, which we always returned. Nothing more outre than Fresca though.

BK, I am hoping to make Sandy's show on Monday, but I won't know until the weekend. Waiting on word of a possible gig. I'll let you know ASAP.   :)

Thanks for the event vibes. It will be a learning experience for all of us, as the group in its 33 years has never put on this big of a to do...and it is the first time they have charged for an event. We are all just mostly worried about people being disappointed in our efforts. Of course, the tickets are only $10 which is pretty darn cheap for dinner and 3 hours of cultural entertainment.

DR Elmore, do you have a recording (CD) of Benjamin Britten's "Hymn to St. Cecelia"?

"Hymn to St. Cecilia" is a great piece, DR Ginny. I have performed it and have perhaps 10 different versions on CD. I am not sure that I could put my hands on any particular one at the moment, however.     :P

Fr. Richard's sermon for November 17 is on St. Cecelia and he just heard a feature about the Britten piece on "Classics for Kids."

I just spent about an hour at the holiday bazaar venue, helping to price "Sweet Shop" items.  My AAUW friends are very talented!

Planning for the Diwali event this Saturday is coming along....but holy cow, there is a lot of preparation for such an event!

I did get permission from the Fire Marshal for the buffet issue, so we no longer have to worry about food being cold.

And, so far we have sold over 350 tickets! That is a lot more than we had expected!

This has all been keeping me very busy the last two weeks or so. I will be relieved when it is over.

Great news, Mike!  And Good Luck with Everything!

This is a bit about the play that was worked on at DePauw last year and will be done in January....    :D
