Today, I'm going to see two, count 'em, TWO plays. :) My friend Pug is directing "The Weir" at Tacoma Little Theatre.  It's a bucket-list play for her.  She's wanted to direct this for years.  I know the four guys in the play, but not the woman.  I can't wait to see it.  HERE is a review.  I'm going to see the 2:00 PM matinee.

Tonight, I'll go to see American Roulette, a co-production by Theater Artists Olympia and Animal Fire Theatre.  As the treasurer of TAO, I need to pick up the till after the show, so I may as well see the show.  HERE is a review of AR.

Two very different, but I'm sure very intense plays.  What's interesting is that Pug directed "The Weir" and her son Ethan is in "American Roulette."  And no, nepotism had nothing to do with his being cast in the show (Pug is the Artistic Director of TAO).  He had to audition along with everyone else.

In case anyone missed the news, or even if you saw it:  Brendan Lemon of the Financial Times has some interesting thoughts on his Lemonwade blog about the new GIGI in the modern era

And here's the Playbill announcement on the Kennedy center GIGI, which is from Nov 6 in case anyone interested missed it before

Good morning, all.

"Gigi," yawn. I'll leave Eric Schaffer comments to Elmore.

Off soon on the trail.

No coffee till after my walk.
It's cold outside, but the surfers will already be in the water.
Planning on a camera for xmas to post pictures.
Which seems to be too close for comfort by the look of the stores.

I enjoyed reading all about MR BK's busy day yesterday....and hope that he has an equally fine day today.

I also liked all of the choices of the DR's for the TOD....so many films I missed.

I am feeling much better, and everyone is blessed today because I seem to have lost my voice....

This is a picture of me rehearsing to be the "middle" Audrey in a production of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS back in 1994.  There is no particular reason for this photo.  I thought we could have a random photo today...with the only provision being that said photo should feature the Dear Reader who posts it.

DR JANE - DR JEANNE is correct....Clark Kent's suit is made from a special fabric that folds flatter than an envelope and special glasses and shoes as well, and the entire package is placed in a pouch inside his cape....very convenient.

Posting from church, as I am here 7:00am Mass this morning to run a video. It's nice to see the looks on people's faces when I walk into the church before this Mass (which is the Mass without music on Sunday - except for Easter) They vary from "<smile> - which translates, "YAY were going to have music" to <scowl> - which translates to "how dare you interrupt my personal prayer time and make me sing"

Good times :)

Last night, I saw a production of God of Carnage which I enjoyed quite a bit.  I had never seen the play before.  I thought it was well done and all 4 actors were really great.  I can see it being not so great if even one of the actors wasn't strong.

This afternoon, I have a tech for Schoolhouse Rock Jr. which should be very quick, then it's back to church for the last Mass of the day with the youth group, and then dinner with Smiley.
